Game five of the series between the Washington Wizards and the Detroit Pistons took place in Michigan, with the series locked up at 2-2. Last game, the Pistons won off of a Tayshaun Prince buzzer-beater. This time around, Washington dominated.

Lamar Odom played magnificently, shooting 15-20 and scoring 33 points. Caron Butler played the role of sidekick, scoring 24 points. JaVale McGee also managed to chip in 19 points down low.

Allen Iverson was hot early, scoring 19 points in the first half. However, he cooled off, scoring just 22 points for the entire game. Rasheed Wallace and Tayshaun Prince played well, but Richard Hamilton went back to his lackluster play, scoring just 12 points.

The huge fourth quarter gave Washington the victory. If the Pistons want to avoid being eliminated, they'll need to beat the Wizards on their home floor.

Down 3-2 and facing elimination, the Detroit Pistons traveled to Washington D.C. to play against the electrifying Wizards.

However, the Pistons didn't play scared. Tayshaun Prince and Rasheed Wallace combined for 44 points, and the trio of Richard Hamilton, Rodney Stuckey, and Allen Iverson combined for 34 points and 24 assists. The Pistons shot the ball well, setting them up for victory.

The Wizards played good basketball overall, but they were completely outplayed in the third quarter, scoring just 14 points. Caron Butler was defended well, and Lamar Odom couldn't carry the entire team on his back.

The Wizards will have to play the Pistons in Detroit for game seven.
