This speed difference is better with auto sprint off. I cant trust ea to create realistic pass coverage, im not going to trust them to determine when to use sprint and when not to. fuck that.

yeah i agree. Auto Sprint is a nice feature, but i like being able to decide when i am gonna sprint

Route mirroring and warping to make a catch or something are my only complaints besides not having timing based passing like APF. Pretty good game.

APF is the reason my hate for EA was supplanted. I saw what a football game should be and could be, and been hating on EA since.

the LB's jumping up real high to knock down passes is kind of ticking me off, I tap the button to lob it over them and they still get it

sliders do make a difference here. try matts sliders for offline. On heismen with a lowered pass coverage, the cpu is still very good at coverage, but the LB high jump is greatly reduced. So much so that its not annoying or noticeable for me now

Do you mean the pressure on the QB? Or a glitch in the game?

If it's the pressure, make sure to set up the o-line blocking presnap when it's play action. I just use L2 (PS3) then down on the dpad, seems to work fairly well unless the blitz is coming from the CBs.

If it's the glitch that some are experiencing - my suggestion is to drop to "slow" speed, and reduce the threshold to 35 in the House Rules section. I've played almost 40 games (all offline), no glitches to speak of yet.

i cant do much. Seems like they fixed it where those first 2 guys get a man blocking them, but after that u get about 5-10 yards and your hammered cause nobody else gets blocked

I love this game.

Just played as OSU v Alabama, 5 min quarters default AA. I couldn't run for shit, and neither could they, but I was able to pass the ball well from time to time. Julio Jones ate me up on 3rd down, and I ended up missing a GW FG attempt as time expired from 54 yards wide left which sent it to overtime. I got a 1st down, then a holding penalty put me back at the 24 and I never recovered. I dinged the field goal off the upright for a miss and Alabama made theirs to win it 10-7 /1OT.

Great game.

While that's great for offline play kinda hard to set that up for online play. My advice for the glitch as the only time I experienced it was on BOOTLEG PA plays. I could be wrong but I think it only occurs on bootlegs. So I'd just steer clear of those plays until they patch it.

Is this game better than it was last year? And if so, was last year's better than 09? Didn't buy the game last year for the first time ever and now I'm itching to play with my talentless Vols.

i enjoyed last years game, but alot of people didnt. I thought it played well despite its issues.

i enjoy this game too, but the pre release reviews and hype about the game really set me up for disapointment. With that said, i think this game plays very well and has alot of improvments with the animations and control. But the Gameplay is really no different than last year as far as the AI is concerned. Run blocking is improved and so is pass blocking, but the pass blocking imporvements are very slight and u will see the linemen do the dumbest shit. And god forbid u use PA. Its not fun using PA. And if the Dee blitzes it cause total confusion at times.

offline, sliders will help and make the game fun to play. I havent tried online yet.

I say last year's game was a B- and this one a B+.

I like it, but to hear the early reviews, you'd think NCAA 11 was at the level of MLB: The Show. It's not.

And, for the life of me, could presentation be any blander?

Very few stat overlays during the game.
Coach Corso gone (yeah, he got repetitive, but he added life to the team).
No halftime show. Hell, not even a screen of key stats.
Only Erin Andrews voice, not her face (clearly that would help presentation).

And while I appreciate the leap in cpu AI, it's not as great as the fanboys will tell you ... and the cpu run game is still spotty.

This game would be about an 85/100 for me. Far from elite, but fun to play.

That's too high IMO.

I get the impression from your posts you were determined to hate this game ... and are nit-picking a bit too much.
The PA bug will be fixed in the patch and 85/100 is not really a high score.
An elite game rates 90 or higher.
This is an above average game ... and continues to improve on the franchise.
But, again, it is not in the same league as MLB The Show, NBA2k or Fifa.

NCAA 10 was horrid. But it's not a jump from poor quality to great or even 'really' good. The game continues to get better on the field, but off of it, and in it's modes it's been practically untouched and it's starting to piss me off. Dynasty and Online Dynasty get minor tweaks or changes in recruiting and whatever, but no major advancements. And I wont even start on Road to Glory, the mode has lost more than it's gained since it's arrival in the series.

I haven't spent enough time with the game to rate it. I can say that it still leaves too much to be desired to be called "great" or even close to being.

while i agree, people make it out to be a big deal. Sure it sucks if u run that play all game. But its one play type out of Play Action. Its not like all of PA if fucked up.

this is why when i gave my score i said it was based solely on the on field action. Thats all i care about is a fun, realistic game of football. Dynasty modes, RTTS or whatever, teambuilder all that is just fluff and advancing those areas only takes away from what matters and thats how it plays on the field.

I haven't run into the PA glitch yet, because PA is QB suicide.
Anytime I use PA, I get sacked.

I fumble way to fucking much. I've done 3 GB's for this game and I swear, I've fumbled at least 15 times. Every game I've done, I'll be marching on these guys in my first possession and the boom, I fumble. They score because my defense is shit and they beat me by one possession. I'm 1-2 and the two losses came by one possession. It's bullshit.

Also, the PA glitch only seems to do it with one play. The PA HB Screen when your outside reciever goes deep...
