NCAA Dynasty Update Thread

I know this is the Dynasty update thread, but, I figured I could put a RTG update here as well.

Started a RTG for fun. Probably won't stick with it once real rosters come out. However, I downloaded a bunch of local high schools in this area on TeamBuilder. I also downloaded my old high school Tampa Catholic! Uni's for these schools are really good and spot on!

Anyway, I made myself a 6-3 265lbs DE. I edited my schedule and put in all the local high school teams: Alonso, Countryside, Jesuit (rival - last game of season), Plant, Wharton, Jefferson, Chamberlain and Hillsborough.

Just won our first game of the season against Alonso HS 14-2. I had 6 tackles, 4 TFL and 1 sack. Here is a pic of me in action (#69). After the game, I was given the option to add 1 of 3 schools to my list of interests: Southern Miss, Troy and FIU. I added Southern Miss. Hopefully, I can garner greater attention as the season wears on.

In my RtG, I ended up a 5*QB/4*MLB after winning the state championship. Decided to sign with Baylor and spend my Freshman season backing up RG3

Well, my RTG without named rosters was short lived. Gonna start again with the same exact player, school, etc. Just have the rosters and coaches named now. Thankfully, I was only one game in.

Ok, just finished re-making my player. Only made slight changes. Chose a new helmet and made a 10-game schedule as opposed to 8 games.

I again used the local schools in this area for my schedule.

Week 1 - Alonso Ravens
Week 2 - Countryside Cougars
Week 3 - @ Wharton Wildcats
Week 4 - @ Hillsborough Terriers
Week 5 - Plant Panthers
Week 6 - @ Robinson Knights
Week 7 - Tampa Bay Tech Titans
Week 8 - @ Jefferson Dragons
Week 9 - Chamberlain Chiefs
Week 10 - @ Jesuit Tigers (rivalry game)

We won our first game 24-7. I didn't perform as well as I did in my first iteration of this RTG. This time I only had 4 tackles and a sack.

My only highlight of the game. A sack in the first quarter on 2nd & 10.

I notice on breakaway runs the rubberband effect kicks in and you get chased down more.

Last year if you had a speedy player and you hit the open field it was td most of the time.

Holy shit! Much better game. I put up monster numbers, however, it was against weaker competition. We beat Countryside 30-3. I had 11 tackles and 5.5 sacks!!! My performance was so impressive that UAB offered me a scholarship right after the game AND I got to add another school to my list. Stanford, Oregon and Utah are now interested. I could only add one to my list though. I selected Oregon.

AA for RTG. Heisman for games is great, but, for RTG, it was stupid hard.

I've got Wharton HS next. I know that probably means nothing to you, but, if whoever created them in TB did it right, it should be more of a challenge for me. I'm fully expecting very difficult contests against Plant, Jefferson and Jesuit as well.

Yeah I played one on Heisman and it was bad. AA is where I'm at.

I think I'll restart and re-create my own high school league for shits n giggles.

Ha, looking into this now I found (although on 360) my school's crosstown rival made. Nobody else from our region though :\

It makes the RTG experience that much more cool!

Also, I learned that when schools get interested, that is all it is. I added Oregon, but, I learned that I am not even near the required recruiting points needed to be offered a scholarship. I need nearly 900 points to even be offered. Sooooo...I don't think Oregon is going to happen. That is just under 100 points a game. UAB offered b/c they are so low. I think USF is a definite possibility though.

i guess i meant if you did things kinda odd, like a statue pocket passer and a coverage cb.

or a speed wr and a hard hitting safety.

most of the time the attributes for each of the designated positions don't really match up, particularly in the speed rating.

or shit what would happen if you were a RT and also made yourself a coverage fs lol
