Won my first position battle. Was tough for the first going. Had 20/650 through first 10. Then they started to call some decent plays and throws to pick up big points. Now #3 on the depth chart.

Just finished the last game of the regular season. Beat Jesuit 17-14 after going up 17-0 in the first.

I finished with just a single sack on the day. It came on the final play of the game as Jesuit's QB dropped back to try and heave it into the end zone, however, I was able to drag him down before he could get the ball off.

First round of the playoffs is against 9-1 Vero Beach. Based off our horrible offensive performances this season, I am sure we will be one-and-done.

Had a matchup of 1-6 squads as we traveled to play ECU. Of course, we managed to lose 17-14 on a FG as time expires.

Going into the 4th Quarter I had a whopping 3 carries! However, we started to get our running game going and I rattled off 7 carries on our final drive. Unfortunately, I go injured and spent the rest of the game on the sidelines, but we managed to score to tie it 14-14. You know the rest.

I ended the game with 10 carries for 32 yards and 6 receptions for 23 yards.

It certainly looks like a bowl game is out of the question for us at this point unless we can turn it up and win out.

As expected, we went into Dallas and were completely molested by SMU. We lost 38-22, but it was somehow even worse of a game for us than the score could ever project.

My blocking is just awful, as my own guys clog the running lanes when they miss a block.

Somehow, I ended up with 13 carries for 58 yards, as well as 5 receptions for -1 yard. Apparently, our QB has no idea how to throw a screen pass. Also, I managed to score a 2-point conversion for the team.

Also, I was named a Team Captain before the game, which allows me to change the play 5 times in a game. Helpful for when our OC decides to call a Hail Mary on the goal line...

Next week we take on #24 Houston. Expect things to go very poorly.

We upset Vero Beach 17-7 at home. We really shut down their offense and scored on defense as well. I had a good game forcing two fumbles. The second one was picked up by a teammate and taken to the house to seal the win late in the 4th quarter.

Somehow, the game has us playing Alonso HS in the second round of the playoffs and has them marked as 10-0. However, I am positive we beat them. Maybe a glitch?

We beat Alonso in the 2nd round and faced Westchester in the State Semi's. We lost to Westchester 10-7 and my HS career is over.

Got some thinking to do on where to sign my LOI...

This is probably going to start a slew of questions and accusations of a possible recruiting scandal. However, I decided, after looking up depth charts in my Sporting News Mag, that I would sign my LOI with....

 

Reason: I like my chances to play early, its the SEC, and I don't have to worry about my offense letting us down. Also, I selected my jersey number. I went with #36 to change it up.

Got my first chance to get in the game after making second string and played very good minutes. Had two chances on goal line but the line let guys come in and kill me.

Ended the game with 28 yards on 14 carries, but where I was the biggest was in the air, getting 71 yards on 7 catches for a ton of first downs. Though we lossed the game to Wisconsin 28-13. Ohio is now 4-4 on the season.

Can't say I didn't see this one coming. At 9-0 and ranked 21st in the nation, Houston was our toughest matchup and we showed our true colors. We lost 34-7. Not much to say other than that we got dominated.

I had 17 carries for 58 yards and a catch for 9 yards.

This is what most of the day felt like.​

0-10 Rice is up next. If we don't win that one...

Wow, amazing second game I had. I was on the field to help for PAT's and FG's. Got my work out there. Though I did this week in practice have enough to challenge for the starting role. We also won 30-17.

The best part of it was, all three pictures of me at the end look exactly the same, standing up for a kick block.


First try at starter position, I had 15 of 20 plays being tosses, and I was left out to dry every single time. Got only 410 of the 1000 you need. Was frustrating seeing the same toss play for the 5th time.

HOLY SHIT! I finally had my breakout performance against the worst team we'd face all season. We started off a bit slow when the coach wanted to pass all day, but once I was give the rock, we swiftly kicked into high gear. We ended up winning 24-7, with their lone score coming late in the 4th Quarter.

I ended the game with 17 carries for 170 yards and two long touchdown runs. I also had 2 catches for 21 yards and I managed to get a tackle on an interception.

Next week we get to spend a few days on the beach as we take on Hawaii.

Second attempt faired no better. I swear the O-line just falls down and you always have some kind of pressure. Trying to get back to the line is hard.

Pull a big 27-24 win over Penn State (9-1). Again, nothing more then field goal blocking.

On position takeover stuff, I got 950/1000 points. What pisses me off is, my QB got sacked 3 times, and ran an option once, so I lost 4 plays to that shit. Last play, I need 50 points, so basically like 5 yards, O-line allows 4 guys through, and I stuffed behind the line.

Well, we certainly had some fun in the sun this week!

We went to Hawaii and came up big with a 21-9 victory over the Warriors. I had another great games as I tallied 18 carries for 83 yards and a touchdown. I also came up big in the passing game notching 6 receptions for 115 yards. I was named "Player of the Game" for the third time this season.

My backup also had a big day, rushing for a 78-yard TD while I took a breather.

Letting the draw play to develop so I can get six.​

I've also become a "Hometown Hero" (even though I'm not from NOLA) and can now flip the running plays at home games.

That's all she wrote on this season! We didn't do as well as I wanted, but 3-9 is an improvement over 1-11 and we ended the season with some encouraging play. I led the team in rushing and I also had the most receptions!

Rushing - 157 carries, 738 yards (4.7 ypc) and 4 rushing TDs
Receiving - 41 receptions, 239 yards (5.8 ypc)
Blocking - 2 pancakes, 1 sack allowed
Defensive - 3 tackles

In C-USA play, Houston won the West at 11-1 (and a #15 ranking) while UCF took the East with a 10-2 record (and a #21 ranking). Houston defeated UCF 44-21 in the C-USA Championship Game and QB Case Keenum won the Heisman Trophy.

Also, I was selected to the All-American Freshman team!


We've got plenty to build on, but I think we can get to six wins and a bowl game next season.

Just become the starter. Things started slow, as 1 of first 6 plays ended in losses. But after a few good gains, the 14th play resulted in a touchdown, which basically handed me the starting job. Of course it is conference championship week and we didn't make it, so I'll be getting my first start in one of the bowl games.

Ohio State (7-5) 27 vs Kansas State (6-6) 0​

In first start as a starter, I lead Ohio to the Texas Bowl, and was named player of the game, with 15 carries for 37 yards and 2 TD's, while also getting 3 rec for 24 yards.

I was injured on the first run play of the game which took me out till the second quarter, but then followed up with a goal line run in and then a 15 yard touchdown run.

Congrats on a great Freshman season. Had your breakout game against Rice and followed it up with a nice performance against Hawaii. The team may have finished 3-9, but, you had a good season. Hopefully you can get to a bowl game next season.
