NCAA Dynasty Update Thread

I am at Kentucky now as well after OCing at Idaho and Cal.

We're 6-1 so far, the QB I inherited is a 98 OVR.

Only posting here because it is the only NCAA thread I could find.

I decided to dust off NCAA12 and give it another go today. First two games this afternoon went fine. Then I play tonight, and fuck me to god damn tears. First guy does this glitch.

Wonder if it is a USC thing because I was USC.

Then my next game, guy calls the same run play over and over, and does the same cut move all the time. Doesn't matter what I call, he busts open for a huge run.

Might be putting it back into the dust for another week.

Was a defensive coordinator at FIU for 2 years and made the jump to HC of USF.

First year as Head Coach so far I am 4-1 with a loss to #1 Stanford. Inherited a pretty damn good crew and already have a couple commits.

lol..know what you mean. I'm not sure how much longer i'm going to play, so I just took a high profile job that I couldn't pass up.

I was the OC at North Texas for 3 years (1/3 years into my 2nd contract) and the team went to the New Orleans Bowl my 1st year, a (5-7) my 2nd year (Defense was horrible), and a win over Nebraska in the Hawaii Bowl. I had an A+ prestige (left NT a 3* program) and Oregon offered the HC job to me, which I rejected. I did accept the HC job at Florida (4* program). I'm pretty sure that I could have gotten the job to my Alma Mater (Texas A&M)...they fired the HC and OC, but FL was too high profile not to accept. I liked the idea of playing FSU every year and seeing my guys run out to the field. When I signed up to the job, FL already had the #8 recruiting class. I was able to get them to the #2 class. North Texas finished with the #60 class (they were #59 when I left). If I do decide to continue to play this game, I'll probably make another coach and start a longer path to being a HC to a big school or Alma Mater.

The National Championship this past year.

Edit: forgot to mention, I won the Sun Belt my 1st season and before my last season, I moved FIU, NT, and LaTech to CUSA. Just noticed my starting RB from last year is listed as an early Heisman candidate.

Just played the A&M Aggies at The Swamp....I won 37-21 (28-14 Half). Next game is #16 Tenn vs. #17 UF....should be a close one.

edit: #16 UT 17 #17 UF 24. After the game, I saw that the Nation #1 HB (5*) recruit, who is from Florida had listed me as their #1 school (#2 Mich, #3 LSU). I've been going after him hard since the first week (an hr a week spent on him). I've already promised him not to Redshirt, sign nor recruit another HB during his first year at UF. I already have 3 HB this year that will be only Jr/So next year, so depth won't be a problem for awhile.

That is the one thing I found as well. After awhile recruiting turned into such a effort to do that I didn't want to do it anymore. I would just keep hitting A as fast as I could to get through all the screens. Bye weeks were the worst ever.

Yeah I just started a new Head Coach. Accepted the the OC job at FAU and good god they are bad ha. My ultimate goal is to getting to the HC job at Miami <3.

I have gotten the USF Bulls so good in 6 years I can't barely play with the anymore even when I change sliders in CPUs favor. Still blowouts.

I'm in Year 6 now, done two years at each stint.

OC at Idaho
OC at Cal (won the Rose Bowl)
HC at Kentucky (went 10-3 in the first season, won the Capital One bowl)

4-1 in my second season with UK. Reconfigured the leagues to match real life, so have wins over Texas A+M, Mizzou, Ole Miss and Louisville. Got worked over by Florida at the Swamp. Have two QB's, one an 85 OVR JR and the other a 76 OVR Soph. Switched to the Soph after the Mizzou game and have started running an Oregon style spread option. Worked out OK until I ran in to some real SEC speed in Florida

Not sure if I will stick around for a third or look around at other gigs

Still playing this with LSU, up to year 2021. Added Mizzou and A&M a while back, also added Syracuse and Pitt to the ACC and TCU, BYU and Boise State to the Big 12.

Won a few national titles but I can't go undefeated to save my life. I'll always stumble to a mid-tier team late in the year.

This year I somehow lost a week 3 game to a decent Illinois team so I'm 3-1.

Just started a new dynasty with Alabama. 2-0 with a 34-7 win over Kent State and a 38-20 win over Penn State. Trent is high in the Heisman race so far after a 27 carry, 204 yard, 3 TD game against PSU.

My created school dynasty just got AWESOME!

I stayed at my created school for 4 years as an offensive coordinator and led the team to all bowl wins. USC offered me the OC job so I couldn't pass that up. Led them from a previous 6-7 record, to an 11-3 record with a 2 point rose bowl loss (fucking defense).

And at the end of the year.....my dream job became a reality......ITS ALL ABOUT THE U! Head coach for the U! Watch out college football! I'll be here for LIFE.

Won a 3rd national title last night, since the BCS decided to let me play a 12-0 Idaho team for the title.

51-17 ass beating.

Would be neat to see. I'm getting the itch to play again after today. I've already got a dynasty that is pretty much simmed up through our Illinois week with all of the top matchups correct, so I guess I'll play that

SB, sell me on NCAA 07 for 360. Never had that game for this gen of consoles. Is it just the gameplay that is what makes it so good?

I was in year 5 of my FIU Dynasty before I almost completely stopped playing when Madden game out. Now that I got rid of that piece of shit game, I'm back to playing NCAA. I moved FIU to the ACC after year 3 after my team got good, and we went 10-2 (7-1) and are ranked #9 in the nation heading into bowl games. Unfortunately, I'm playing in the Champs Sports Bowl instead of a BCS Bowl because my one conference loss was to Virginia Tech who is in my division and also had one conference loss so I didn't get to play in the ACC title game. Then undefeated Arizona (don't really know how that happened in the first place) decided to lose the Pac-12 Championship game to a 4 loss Cal team, bumping my team from a BCS Bowl.

I don't play it on 360, I play 07 on the PS2.

Gameplay is much better. Atmosphere is much better, and composure/experience really matters. Dynasty is so much better with the SI covers, better sim engine, and all of the little things about it, plus recruiting doesn't take long amounts of time.

Granted the graphics on 360 with 12 kick the crap out of it, but its just such a fun game on the PS2.

Granted the momentum meter is way overpowered, but it's a nice novelty and can make the games with the CPU more challenging at times.

I created a team in NCAA 11 and made them to be good on defense and below average offensively. I picked the average joe team type and then just edited some of the defensive guys to make them better. I looking for a real team with good defense and meh offense but I couldn't really find one.

I put myself in the Pac 10 and we're 5-0 so far mostly because of the defense giving my team good field position. I run the ball a ton and my QB is awesome. Only 75 overall but he's sort of like Tebow. He is always breaking sacks and busting big runs. Even though his speed is only 80, he had an 80 yard TD run against USC. He can't throw well at all though but its cool.

Well, I finally finished year 1 of my Ohio State dynasty on 360. Went 12-2 (7-1) and won the Capital One Bowl 56-20 over Auburn. Picked off Trotter 6 times (loltrotter) and Boom Herron tore ish up.

The Big Ten title game was #1 Michigan State (11-1) against #3 Ohio State (me, 11-1), and I lost 45-42 in the closing seconds. Somehow, Wisconsin ended up ranked #3 (9-3) and went to a BCS bowl instead of me, meaning I got relegated to Capital One Bowl duty.
