The thing about the Joker that rocks is he really can be recast as he has no true origin story (I know that Moore sort of came up with one but that's like his least favorite thing that he wrote so who gives a shit -- they didn't make one in the movies), so there is no real need for continuity between actors. The Joker is chaos, and thus can be anyone crazy enough.

Maybe they can make him someone who was inspired by the Joker so that way its like Heath's version is gone but now there is a new one. I think they should just try and stay away from the Joker but it is pretty much Batman's ultimate enemy.

Fill me in on this Inception movie. It has me intrigued with all the good words written about it in this thread. That said, I know absolutely nothing about this movie and from an outsider looking in it seems like a Matrix ripoff.

No one really knows, it's been uber secretive. All anyone really knows is that it will knock your socks off with its pure awesomeness.

CAST: Leonardo DiCaprio, Ellen Page and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Written and directed by Christopher Nolan.

BACK STORY: So what exactly is this film? That's a popular question after a visually dazzling but enigmatic trailer was released (and its title doesn't exactly clear things up).

Is it an international thriller? A story of madness and lost love? Or Hollywood's first metaphysical heist movie? The answer is "all of the above," says Nolan, whose follow-up to "The Dark Knight" seems to have Ian Fleming, the Wachowski brothers and Sigmund Freud as its spiritual advisors.

"I think we've put a lot of different things into the pot with this one," Nolan said last week during a break from editing. "I grew up watching James Bond films and loving those and watching spy movies with their globe-trotting sensibility. We get to do that here not just geographically but also in time and dimensions of reality as well. We get to make a movie that's expansive, I suppose you'd say, in four dimensions."

The key part of the premise is corporate espionage by way of dream invasion, but motives and even reality are slippery in a film that toys with perception as its travels through time and space. The crew covered a lot of territory too, filming in six countries. "This is the biggest challenge I've taken on to this point," Nolan says. "We're trying to tell a story on a massive scale, a true blockbuster scale -- the biggest I've ever been involved with. We tried to make a very large scale film with 'The Dark Knight,' and with this one we wanted to push that even further."

Honestly with Inception, I just have a feeling it will be like a James Cameron movie, will it will open up to good, not great box office, but will make money every week and evenutally be top 20 grosser. I mean everything about it looks amazing. Man does Leo really know how to choose movies. To think at one point I didnt like him, now hes in my top 5.

This is what I'm talking about. What do you actually know about the movie? I'm seriously curious about this movie, but damn, the details are few and far between. Not sure how many so many people are positive it's going to be a winner.

The director is one of the best in the business and the cast is amazing. What more do you need?

the reason everyone thinks it will do well is because 1.) Its got a great director 2.) A great cast 3.) Despite showing literally nothing, its got everyones attention who has seen the teaser trailers 4.) Nolan, whos made many great films, is calling this one his baby. Thats why I get the feeling that everyone who is excited will go see it and it make 60 million opening weekend, but then everyoine who watches it will spread the word and bam, its a James Cameron film. Its not very hard to predict.

FlashForward" is getting another new showrunner.

Co-creator David Goyer is stepping down from his role running the series, sources confirmed.

The "Dark Knight" scribe will still be "involved" with the show, but will focus on feature films and directing.

"As my feature projects have started ramping up again, I felt I was being pulled in too many directions," said Goyer in a statement. "I'm proud of the show and excited about the relaunch. It's in great hands."

Goyer had limited hands-on TV series experience, so "Eli Stone" co-creator Mark Guggenheim was brought as showrunner in after his "FlashForward" pilot received a pickup to help with the launch of the mystery drama based on Robert Sawyer's novel.

After the show creative struggled out of the gate, Guggenheim stepped down as showrunner in October and was replaced by Goyer.

Who will serve as the new showrunner for "FlashForward" is not yet clear. The production is currently shooting episodes 17 and 18 of a 23-hour order.

FlashForward, ABC's heir apparent to Lost which just began its final season, is in turmoil again. It was already on its 2nd showrunner after Marc Guggenheim exited in October. Since then, I've been receiving reports of a lot of "infighting" and "backbiting" inside the show. Now FlashForward showrunner David Goyer has left with 5 episodes still to shoot. Of course, Goyer's feature career is really heating up, since he co-wrote Batman Begins, and penned the story for The Dark Knight, and is now writing the third Batman installment with Chris Nolan's brother Jonah. ("As my feature projects have started ramping up again, I felt I was being pulled in too many directions," Goyer said in a statement. "I'm proud of the show and excited about the relaunch. It's in great hands.") But whose hands? No word on the ID of FlashForward's 3rd showrunner. After its well-hyped fall debut, ABC first planned to bring back FlashForward last month, and then delayed the re-rollout until March 18th to retool. Something drastic needed to be done because ratings for the sci-fi drama based on the novel by Robert Sawyer were hot out of the gate -- and then they were not. FlashForward dropped from 12+ million viewers down to half that. The bright spot is that DVR usage for the show is big. ABC says Goyer will remain "involved" as the remaining episodes of the 23-episode order are finished. But, after spending big on development last season and giving ABC a hit Wednesday comedy night, entertainment boss Steve McPherson now really needs to have a breakout hour-long drama to boast about. The question still remains whether that's FlashForward.

re-writes = he wrote it? The basic plot of the movie was what the problem was, part of the script he had nothing to do with. It was filled with plot holes. Besides, look at the terrible shit David S. Goyer has been a part of and he was a part of that creative team. Everything goes through Christopher Nolan anyways.
