Yes but you won't be taking advantage of the blu ray technology

full advantage....but it does look better than a dvd player.

Fry's has one on sale today for $180 or 190 ....LG brand that connects to the internet (BD Live). I'm not sure if all connect to the internet, so you can update your movies if you like (when available).

Walmart's deal is an 80 GB PS3 plus MLB 09: The Show, James Bond 007: Quantum of Solace Blu-Ray DVD, an additional game of your choice, and an additional Blu-Ray DVD of your choice for $429.

However, the choices on the second game of your choice are limited to games like NHL 08 (what I would get because it was good and I don't follow hockey enough to care about updated rosters), MLB Front Office Manager, NFL Head Coach 09, NCAA March Madness 08, The Simpsons Game, and other shit like that.

Yeah, but they are mostly crap. The PS3 player is excellent.

Your going to have to give me a reason. All the blu ray players I've seen are perfectly fine. If they don't support something or a new format almost all of them have the ability for firmware upgrades that can make it happen.

Even the cheap ass ones from walmart have that ability now.

I'd still love to get a ps3 some day mainly because after all these years I still hate the xbox controller.

i bought a ps3 at launch when i still had a 20" sdtv i still enjoyed, obviously when i got a bigger hdtv it put it over the top for me. I see you have a 360 already, its going to look like your 360 game do on a sdtv.
