would you really call the NJ Nets pro Basketball?

The plan is to get season tickets to see a new pro basketball team come in and beat them every night. It's like 29 pro basketball team's rotating in and out.

Unless the Nets knock the offseason out of the park like they are set up to do. If the 2010 offseason goes well, the Nets could be the best pro team in NY by 2012. I'd get season tickets just for the opportunity to see John Wall every night.

Yep. When that whole "media market" discussion was taking place, it was 2008, LeBron was in China selling his brand, he was talking about wanting to become a "Global Icon" and all that noise. There was even the rumor that he and Kobe would consider playing in Europe. So much has happened since then on the court to change LeBron's mentality from wanting to be a "Global Icon" to just wanting to win. Kobe showed him what hard work is all about in the Olympics, Kobe got another ring, the Cavs went out and got Shaq, Antawn Jamison for him....etc.

LeBron was just toying with all those ideas 2-3 years ago, because he's a young guy and it strokes his ego. Deep down though, all he wants to do is win. After seeing how dedicated Kobe is to winning, and him celebrate a championship that LBJ feels should have been his, is not gonna motivate him to sign up for a rebuilding project just for the sake of a few more million dollars.

LeBron would go to NJ before NY, believe that.

The Jay-Z connection + moving to Brooklyn...LeBron would go to NJ first...that I believe.

However, I don't think LeBron or Wade go anywhere (same with Dirk and a bunch of others), especially if Cleveland wins it all this year. They have shown they are committed to getting LeBron rings.

I think you will be looking at Bosh, Joe Johnson, Rudy Gay, Carlos Boozer, Amare, as the top guys on the market that are likely to move.
