It is this simple...the Knicks spent too much money on all the wrong players and couldn't make a move to improve their club if they had a gun to their head to do so. Bad draft picks, terrible trades left the Knicks in financial restraints and when they finally shed all of their terrible contracts, they are left with nothing after this season but cap room that will be filled with no one they wanted originally.

Again, the Knicks have done it all wrong...the Knicks needed to shed contracts while adding young pieces. They have no hope for the immediate future with no first round draft picks for the next two seasons.

I mean, if you are LeBron and D-Wade...do you really want to go to this shit hole of a club?

Joe Johnson? Rudy Gay? Amare?

I mean, why would anyone want to go to that club? They won't be good for another decade.

Bad draft picks? Aside from Renaldo Balkman, the knicks have been pretty good in that category.

Young pieces? What do you call David Lee, Wilson Chandler, Gallinari, Sergio Rodriguez, Bill Walker & Toney Douglas?

Why would anybody squirm at the chance to play in the biggest market in the world and inside the world's most famous arena? Yea the Knicks have been shit the past decade but Walsh has been able to turn the page and finally make some great adjustments that can see this team winning a lot of games in 2010. He also added D'Antoni who receives high regards from every player thats ever played for him which includes Wade and Lebron. There's a lot of promise in New York and any FA will see that.

They've traded for a few players in that second round area that turned out OK, but who they've drafted? You can't find a worse group of players int he first round over the past 15 years than the Knicks.

Speaking of awesomeness, found out where the Nets are gonna play, the Barclay Center, is only two stops away from my house. Was just randomly walking around today and saw the site.

Can't wait until 2012, to find out wether the world is gonna end, or I'm gonna get pro basketball a couple neighborhoods away from my apt.

I'm hoping for the latter, but either way the Knicks still will suck.

Preaching to the choir, Larry. This ain't nothing new either. Shit goes back to the 70s - remember the bloated contracts the Knicks gave to Bob McAdoo, Spencer Heywood & Marvin Webster? And who could forget great draft picks like Kenny "Sky" Walker? Knicks have always had short-sighted management who had no idea how to rebuild. The only thing the front office didn't screw up was drafting Patrick, but they were never able to get him a number two guy like Jordan had.

It was great seeing some of the sports heroes from my youth last night - the 1969-70 NBA Champion Knicks. Unfortunately they had to see the slop that's the current Knicks. No size, can't rebound, can't defend, no boxing out, and David Lee got owned by Andrew fucking Bogut.

If the Nets can finish their mission in getting that FA superstar in 2010 (was their goal from Day 1)...you are looking at a team that could make the immaculate jump from 11 or so wins this year to playoffs next year.

The Nets have a nice nucleus coming back with the second most amount of cap available. They could legitimately get a superstar and a very good second level free agent while continuing to build with small salaries.

They'll also have a top 4 pick (odds on favorite for #1 overall pick) and four first rounders in the next two seasons.

The Nets planned early on for 2010 (the first team to do so) and did it the right way...even if they miss out on LeBron, Wade, whomever, they still have a nice roster going forward.

Brook Lopez, Devin Harris, T-Will, Courtney Lee, CDR, with Yi, Humphries, and Dooling (2011 expirings) is a nice group.

You get yourself a SF/SG stud (remember how good Devin Harris was with Carter next to him?) and a PF...team is going places. Couple it with maybe a Wall or Favors or Turner or Cousins...with a role player late in round 1 (Dallas' pick) and some nice picks in round 2...damn...that is a good fuckin team.

Would love to see a Joe Johnson and Carlos Boozer come in, but its doubtful. Plus if they get the number 1 pick and John Wall?

D'Antoni?? Even if the Knicks get good again, they're not going far with a coach who doesn't stress defense. Plus the Knicks shoot too many damn threes. I can't stand D'Antoni's style of play.
