Tough loss to swallow...without a doubt we were the better team defensively.

The hardest thing is what got us to the game were winning the turnover battle, and air-tight special teams play. And what lost of the game was losing the turnover battle, and shitting the bed on special teams.

My only condolence is the fact that we exceeded ALL expectations this season, and the future looks bright. Now go get me a wide receiver or cornerback in the draft.

Bummed about the loss but it's hard to stay disappointed. This team wasn't even projected to make the playoffs at all and they ended up 3 mistakes and one injury away from making it to the Superbowl. If Ted Ginn Jr. starts that game then today is probably a day for celebration in San Francisco. Kyle Williams has to feel like shit. He started the season without a job and then his mistakes are easily pointed to as the ones which cause the 49ers to miss the superbowl.

I hope that Harbaugh is able to keep making Smith better and return to next season as a confident contender. The 49ers should not have lost that game. Damn.

Anger after a loss should last an hour or so, tops. Disappointment for maybe a day or two. Anything beyond that, and you either need more hobbies or lead a pretty empty life.

glad youre a loyal fan. But the fact is SF still cant generate enough offense against defenses better then the Saints and thats another reason SF lost. Great defense doesnt mean didly if you cant score on offense and as close as the game was, Eli still got plenty of key completions and moved up field

Im not condoning the over the top shit like death threats and racist insults but for you to expect for him not to get any flack over losing his team and loyal fan base the NFC Championship is a bit naive. Its sports, it brings out the best and worst of people. They will get over it eventually but the shit is still fresh in their minds, let em vent.
