Does it bug anyone else that Tim Tebow is the Denver QB? That instead of sticking with Orton, or the good-if-not-great Brady Quinn, they're going with a rookie that was picked entirely too early in the draft?

I'm not Notre Dame fan, but from what I've seen of Quinn as a professional, he's got something. Though he hasn't always shined so bright, he's had moments.

Ahh well. Hopefully, Tebow will suck enough that the Raiders will be able to compete with the Broncos.

Personally I think Floyd is going to flourish under Brian Kelly.

Raiders going 8-8 or 9-7 would be nice. Somehow I can't figure higher than 7-9 though. It's not like Cable's some amazing coach.

I agree with Floyd under Kelly, but something about the raw athleticism of Julio Jones and AJ Green appeals to me. Maybe it's just because they're receivers.

Julio IMO. He isn't tearing it up at bama but i think once he goes pro he is really gonna shine.

Can't wait to see this kid on the field in Week 1 (while Demaryius Thomas struggles to learn the passing tree in Denver).

It's disgusting when they do it too, but I've learned to expect it from the "glory positions". I expect the tough guys, the trench warriors, to be bigger men. Alas, that's obviously too much.

Fucking wow. Levi Brown of Troy, seventh round pick of the Buffalo Bills, may very well be their starting quarterback at some point during this season, if not for the opener... And Dan LeFeavor of Central Michigan, sixth round pick, is an injury or a few bad Jay Cutler starts from taking over the Bears...

So, maybe being in a garbage conference can't keep you down, if you're really that talented.

Broncos acquired ILB Joe Mays from the Eagles in exchange for RB J.J. Arrington and a conditional draft pick in 2012.
For once, we like the Broncos' side better. A thumper out of North Dakota State, Mays' lack of quality range will be less of a drawback in Denver's 3-4 scheme. Mays' ideal position in the Broncos' system would be "Ted" linebacker, where converted OLB Mario Haggan is currently slated to start.

I personally LOVE Joe Mays. Last year during the preseason I thought he was gonna start for the Eagles at MLB last year after Bradley went down. That obviously didn't happen. He's short at I believe 5'-11" and not very fast and probably an average cover guy as well but like it says in the couple paragraphs up there he's "A thumper" and should fit in PERFECTLY for the Broncos next to D.J. Williams.
