You need to chill, i dunno how u figure i was getting upset/pissy cuz i said 3 words
Ok slugger. Sorry if I mistook your pissy little sarcasm as just that.
Next time you make a statement about a player make sure you are correct.
Eddie Royal a highly touted prospect LOL
and as far as having a pro-bowl QB making him better im sure it did, but having a top 5 WR on the other side i think helps you just as much if not more
And who helped make Brandon Marshall into a Top 5 WR? Who the hell cared about Brandon Marshall before Cutler started chucking him passes? Marshall was a 4th Rd WR out of Central Florida.
Take Kevin Walter, he put up almost 1000 yards and 8 TD's and it wasn't cuz Matt Schaub/Sage Rosenfelds are so amazing, it's cuz Andre Johnson commands the attention of the defense, just like Marshall, Moose had something like 1000 yards, not cuz Jake Delhomme is amazing, but cuz Steve Smith commands the attention of a defense. Nothing helps out a mediocre WR more than having an Elite WR on the other side of the field.
Gee ya think? Or I could point out that having an elite QB can make average WR's much better. I could point out whata guy like Marino did for his average WR corp in Miami, same with Elway his earlier seasons with the Broncos, etc.
I never even disagreed that having Marshall helped Royal. So I don't even know what point you are trying to make about Royal/Marshall/Cutler anymore. Having both Marshall and Cutler both helped Royal. No shit huh?
You've completely flipped your argument.
My original point was Cutler helps average WR's become better. I cited Eddie Royal.
Your proceed to tell me that Eddie Royal was a "highly touted prospect" thus saying Royal didn't really succeed because of Cutler, but because he was expected to do good anyways.
I point out the falsehood in your statement showing that Royal was not a highly touted prospect thus reaffirming my point that Cutler helped make an average prospect WR better.
You then say that it helped to have Brandon Marshall on the other side of Royal..which I didn't disagree with. Then again Marshall was a lightly regarded 4th Rd pick...so who helped make Marshall what he is?
So what's your point/argument? The Bears shouldn't take a WR in the 2nd Rd? Cutler doesn't make average WR's better as I orginally stated? Royal was or wasn't a highly touted prospect? Brandon Marshall wasn't a 4th Rd pick? The Bears should sign an elite WR? The Cutler trade was a mistake? You have no idea what you are talking about? Come on. Clafify.
