The Jaguars waived wide receiver D’Juan Woods and signed cornerback Tyron Brackenridge off waivers from the New York Jets on Wednesday.

Brackenridge, 5-11, 189, was originally signed as an undrafted rookie by Kansas City in 2007. He played in 14 games with the Chiefs the past two seasons and finished with 20 tackles and two forced fumbles. He signed with the Jets on Feb. 19 and was waived on Tuesday.

Brackenridge may be limited to special teams work if he makes the team out of training camp. Pretty much just seems like he would take the role of Chad Nkang who was just recently released.

The Jacksonville Jaguars made four roster moves today, including two veterans and two first-year players. The contract of veteran quarterback Cleo Lemon was terminated, while offensive lineman Drew Miller, defensive end Mkristo Bruce and cornerback Weldon Brown were waived. The Jaguars roster now stands at 80.

This makes Todd Bouman our backup QB and Paul Smith our 3rd stringer.

I think after the preseason the Madden devs will have to bump Walker up to #2 on WR ratings. Hopefully the first roster update will upgrades for many of our rookies.

I want to see how Zach Miller is rated, he should make for a great TE and is faster than many that play the position.

smh, Titans fans....we have a tight end that we drafted this year. He was a Quarterback out of Nebraska-Omaha, Jags converted him to TE because of how athletic he is.

I bet he will see a good amount of carries this year, he was an absolute beast for Liberty and one hell of a 7th round steal. I'm going to the Jaguars/Eagles preseason game at the end of August, I can't wait. I'll be sure to take pictures and post them up here for you guys.

First attended Pittsburgh University but wanted to move back closer to his family so he transferred to Liberty. In three seasons at Liberty, Jennings set the league career records for yards gained rushing (3,633), placing second all-time for touchdown runs (42), rushing yardage average (5.74), rushing attempts (633) and all-purpose yardage (4,155). He also established a Big South mark with four games with at least three touchdown runs. He brings excellent size and strength and fits the “big back” mold to a tee. Very effective in short-yardage and goal line situations. Nice open field change of direction skills. Has good hands, but is not considered a home run type threat.He has good stamina and the ability to wear defenses down with his inside running. Jennings loves to run inside the tackles, where his bruising style and superior instincts allow him run through many would-be tacklers. He is a hard worker, who will do anything to improve. A comparison of Rashad Jennings could be Ronnie Brown, as in he is very versatile back, but won't be explosive.
The good thing with having is we can pound him up the middle, sort of like we could do with Fred and then let MJD hit the homerun with his speed. He either is going to make a big impact on this team, or not be a factor. All depends on if he actually has the strength that an NFL back should have. If he indeed can translate his game over to the pro's then he is going to be a great compliment to Maurice.

Based on some stuff I read on the jaguars message boards the pass coverage has been better than last years and Ellison is running with the 1's.

Underwood and Miller looked good and Walker (or Sims-Walker as he might soon be known as) has looked healthy if a little rusty.

I really can't wait to see the result of the Safety and second DT position battles.

I'm more worried about seeing Knighton and Cox and how they do out of the field. We invested a lot into Cox so hopefully we'll get a reward.... but you never know.

back when we had that monster defense.. darrius,grant,ayodele,pete,henderson,stroud

jimmy back in the day.. that 2005 team was my favorite to date

but dam our offense feels so different.. im so use to seeing freddie T in the backfield..reggie and matt out wide..shit even wilford..
