The $100 trade in promotion is also good for the Xbox 360 S or E editions. I would trade in my old "fat" 360 for $100 but they don't want those :smh:

So shortly after I posted this morning I had to turn off the xbox to go to work. I come home and the update did continue in standby mode, but it is still only at 91%.

I am just amazed that this is even a possibility.

Edit: the download is 1.6gb so I guess I could understand why it is taking so long. Who knows if it reduces download speed in standby mode or not.

I just want to play some BF4 damnit.

Again, those updates don't start automatically? If not, yet another reason PS4>XBone.
I haven't been playing my PS4 much but when I do I never have to wait for any patches/updates. They're already downloaded and installed.

The previous patch had been updated for me automatically, but this one did not. Perhaps the Xbox just had not realized it was available yet? I was downloading it before there was even an official patch notes post on battlelog.

The Kinect signs me in when I start the console. The I'll start a game (Madden) and it'll ask me to sign in again. Then sometimes, if I switch a game or go online within a game it asks me to sign in again. Wtf?

Try this:

1. Sign all other users out.

2. Press the Menu button on the controller, then select Settings. Or, say “Xbox go to Settings.”

3. Select Sign-in, Security & Passkey.

4. Under SIGN IN & SECURITY, select Reset my Kinect sign-in data.

5. Select Delete on the confirmation screen.

6. Select Kinect sign-in.

7.Make sure your name appears next to you on the screen, then select That’s Me.
