How can you say that though? Him going to Miami is an indication that he wants to win, but not necessarily that he doesn't want to be the leader of a team.

Because it's Wade's team, Wade's city. He knows that and has admitted as much. He knows he's not the leader there. Wade is.

IMO James is a natural born leader, and the proof that I have of that has been his career for the past 7 seasons. From the get go James has made the Cavs organization relevant on and off the court.

I would argue James' talent made them relevant, not his "leadership abilities".

I'd say these are signs that he carried the "I'm a leader of a team" cap pretty well.

IMO more like "I'm the most talented player on the team/planet" cap"

Its funny, because before all of this James was always praised for being so mature, because he knew how to handle the media while still being a top performer, while leading his team to relevance. Its amazing how one decision changes all of that.

I never praised him for that, in fact for the last year or so the entire "dust throwing" shit and contrived pre game shit and dancing has worn very thin and I'm on record as sayign until he develops a "rip your heart out" mentality like Kobe, MJ, Bird, Magic, etc etc. that he would never achieve what people assumed he could be or wanted to be.

I can't speak to James "falling asleep/not paying attention in film study," because that rumor came from Wojo, who obviously has it out for James.

Compeltely disagree and there is no evidence of that.

I'm not saying it isn't true, but I also wouldn't go as far as to say its a sign of immaturity either.

I would. In a second. And on top of that it speaks to a lack of leadership. Leaders of teams don't fall asleep in film.

Hmmm, you're correct.....those were the days when Jordan was seen as just a high scorer who would never win a championship.......its funny how people form these silly beliefs.

Then again MJ was winning MVP's and defensive player of the year awards averaging more rebounds and assists then he would during the title runs as well. Jordan was already seen as an all around HOF talent player by 1988.

As I've been saying all along at the minimum they're going to share in the load of leading this team. If James subjects himself to being a follower of Wade I'd be very, very, very suprised. This move was about winning now and winning a lot and nothing more.

He's covering the story. There's not a hell of a lot of positive to cover about the story anyways. Plus Wojo isn't saying anything that tons of other peopel aren't saying or telling him. I've heard Wojo give interviews on the radio about James and he's never comeoff as bitter, pissed off, etc. He's just been a reporter/journalist.

Because Wojo is calling it like he sees it or is reporting what his sources are telling him doesn't mean Wojo has it out for James, it just means he's being honest.

For James, the problem with back-to-back presentations was his short attention span. Cavaliers coaches had always tried to keep film sessions short because James would drift away and lose interest. As the New York Knicks followed the Nets by repeating those themes with an array of power points and charts about accumulating wealth, James drifted in and out of focus. Later, James would tell Jay-Z that parts of New York’s presentation felt too redundant to New Jersey’s.

For now....yes. But what happens when LeBron leads them to the championship? Anything can happen in the next few years and we're assuming way too much right now. Hell, this team could go 30-52 next year.

Wojo has been giving it to everyone that deserves it. He's been way harder on James' inner circle than he has James himself. I think he recognizes that LeBron is still just a kid and makes dumb decisions from time to time but doesn't have a support system around him to turn those bad decisions into good ones.

LeBron let Maverick Carter basically plan and strategize this entire FA fiasco and it turned into an absolute mess for LeBron's brand. Wojo is not blaming James for that, he's blaming LeBron for keeping these buffoons around him and letting them make decisions.

I’m not sure you can market it as Wade’s exclusively either. At the end of the day you have two mega stars with another star in Bosh. If this team wins it won’t be because Wade carried them to a championship….nor will it be because James did.

They are going to be good, can I guarantee a title? Not really, but they'll be good.

Still though, the difference would have to be astronomical for LeBron to take over Wade. If Wade scores 15 a game and LeBron puts up 35, yeah. But basing off the way these 3 played in the Olympics, I'd venture to guess both stay relatively even scoring wise maybe even Wade getting a bit more.

LeBron is probably going to average a triple double this year, not much doubt about it.

Every player in the league probably drifts in and out of film sessions from time to time. It's ridiculous to think Kobe and Jordan sat right in front of the TV and watched every little second. So it's not that he fell asleep, just that he grew tired of the presentations and sessions.

My only problem with his statement other than what I said above is the fact that it strictly seems to be an opinion. There is no quote, nothing of fact in his statement at all, other than what LeBron said to Jay-Z which had nothing to do with watching film.

Meh, his “honesty” is relative to him trying to make an impression. Wojo brought up stuff from the distant past that I’m sure he was aware of before James made the decision. This is the issue that I had with the James article (and his later article about Chris Paul who he basically asked to not be like James), because he’s just making comments, but not really providing any substance. The article fit the time for which it was written, because people obviously were having their doubts about James.

And what happens if James dominates the finals while Wade struggles? There are so many possibilities right now it is impossible to judge the situation in Miami. Right now, it is Wade's team. Less than a year from now, it may very well be LeBron's team.
