no brand new off amazon...got it for 80 bucks shipped. yesterday they had like 16 straight from the distrubuter on amazon. i snagged that up. and mine is coming with a The Xbox 360 250GB Hard Drive includes a data transfer kit to easily transfer your data from your 20GB, 60GB or 120GB HDD to your 250GB HD. It comes preloaded with great HD game demos, videos, and an assortment of Xbox LIVE Arcade game trials.

That's a good deal then. I think they may be dropping the prices even lower now that the Slim is the main console and those hard drives are smaller in size.

It wasn't long ago that a 250GB hard drive was $130.

Game looked great on the trailer I saw on MNF a couple of weeks ago, but watched a vid on the Inside Xbox thing and it doesn't look all that spectacular. Probably going to wait for reviews now, whereas I was going to buy this day one...

Rage proves a lot of what we already knew about id Software. The studio knows how to make great shooters and deliver incredible visuals and animations. With some of the elements we’re not as familiar with in id games like an emphasis on story, Rage isn’t as strong. The great controls and useful weapon upgrades help make Rage’s shooting parts a lot of fun, but the storyline fails to create any real tension and the game’s characters, friendly and hostile, never do or say anything memorable. As a result, Rage starts to drag toward the second half after most of the mechanics and upgrades are introduced because the fictional world isn’t very interesting. Despite the lack of genuinely exciting context, all the content packed into Rage is still a blast to play, including the surprisingly entertaining car combat mode and co-operative challenges. Rage isn’t revolutionary, but is an expertly crafted, beautiful shooter.

Incredibly high production values throughout. Storyline is weak, few memorable personalities, no satisfying ending, game starts to drag toward the end.

One of the best looking games ever made.

Excellent shooting sequences and a surprisingly good car combat mode.

A lot of content in the single-player mode, plus co-op missions and a vehicle combat competitive multiplayer mode.

Did they only review the PS3 version for a reason? Any comparisons?

And is it just pre-orders, no matter the store, that get the upgraded Anarchy Edition, or is it just all first fun copies?

Got my PS3 copy from Best Buy. I'll install whatever updates there are and install while I'm playing some more sweet, sweet SotD.
 
When you are in a mission, definitely save your game frequently. If you die, you have to start the mission over from the beginning.
