Obstruction of justice as a result of admitting to have lied to the police about the matter. His real involvement in the situation was never explored because he sold out his boys, and because Lewis' suit from the night of the murder was never found.
that = getting away with murder. Even if he didn't actually kill the guys, he was at the very least an accomplice, or guilty of aggravated assault.
I only brought it up because Lewis is deified for his christian beliefs, his play on the field, for his ability to speak like this, and because if it happened today he would have been crucified for it on twitter and everyone would just assume he was guilty. It also happened so long ago you've got an entire generation that came of age not having a clue about what happened, nor does it ever get mentioned by those who seek to sanctify him.
I have no doubt he turned his life around as we haven't heard a peep out of him since. I also have no doubt that he is the greatest middle linebacker to ever play the game, but he was absolutely responsible in a large way for two people winding up dead, and that should never be forgotten especially when everyone talks about how great a guy he is.

Saying he had anything to do with the murders is a completely baseless & incorrect assumption. If he did have anything to do with it his charges wouldnt have been dropped, even if he was willing to snitch.
And the 2 guys who did commit the murder, were acquitted based on self-defense.

I love me some Ray Lewis for this very reason. He's a great leader and a great football player and that is all that matters to me. I don't know how he is as a person, but I do know his teammates and players around the league love and respect him tremendously, so that should say something about who is is as an individual.
I don't understand why the murder trial has to always be brought up every single time Lewis' name is brought up, but I do understand that there are some people who will continue to do so for no other reason, then because that is the type of people they are. Let's be real its not as if anyone of you really care about what happened or that you feel for the victims.You act as if you're keeping the memory of the victims alive, because you feel bad for them and their family. The real issue is that you just don't like Lewis, so anytime you can bring him down you will. However, this comes with the territory of being a professional athlete in that people will always try to find ways to tear you down, so meh.
