I don't get why people are harping on the past. Not a single cell in Ray Lewis' body is leftover from that day. He was definitely complicit in some way, but no one (except those involved) knows exactly what happened. Let's just move on and focus on the positive.

And the fact that he paid them off in civil suits. I mean, if you really are innocent in all this, and have the money Lewis has, you essentially tell them "Come at me bro" and not settle with them.

I was talking with a co-worker, and it seems that Lewis does all of this when the camera is on him. It's essentially growing and also rehabbing (for some people) the "Ray Lewis Brand." It was a long detailed conversation I can't put word for word here, but we both walked away knowing that we'll see the real Ray Lewis in about five years. If he continues to do all of his philanthropical pursuits in the Baltimore community and continues to reference God and be a witness in the way he's doing now, he's definitely changed. If all of this suddenly stops, we'll know the other way as well.

He pleaded down to obstruction. There is a pretty good possibility he was wielding a knife with his buddies. The prosecution though they had enough originally to put him on trial him for murder until he agreed to snitch on his boys.

The fact they let him plead down to a misdemeanor was a hot topic at the time and hotly debated. They wouldn't have done that for a common street thug, or you, or me.

Maybe a little more detail on why it's a very good possibility he was waving a knife along with his buddies. The cops found Lewis's knife on the scene where the murders took place, a knife he denied owning until it was traced back to the store, where he just bought it the day before. Most witnesses claim Lewis was very drunk that night, most can not remember him holding a knife but one witness told police they saw him throwing punches. The limo driver claimed that he also saw Lewis throwing punches, told police Ray instructed everyone in the limo to keep their mouth shut, and lie to the police, . Come court time, both witnesses basically retracted what they told police initially and spun a slightly different story in the courtroom. When asked to turn his suit over to the police, a suit that didn't meet the description of what he was wearing was turned in. Atlanta authorities believe the have the right 3 people but they didn't get conviction. Some of that due to the DA dropping the ball and some due to witnesses changing their stories.

I should note: Lewis's knife that was found on the scene, however it did not have blood on it nor is it believed to be one of the two murder weapons. But it was found on the ground near the bodies.

I don't know exactly what happened, but I have a pretty good idea.

Our justice system is severely broken and filled with flaws, I have no respect for it and I do not take the decisions of our courts as anything more than what lawyer duped the mouth breathing jury more than the other. Any reasonable person would conclude that at least one of those three men, if not all three, murdered those two dudes.

I agree 100%. It's very obvious Lewis was complicit in some way; we just aren't sure of the extent. But what's the point of constantly bringing it up?

Because a lot of people are pretty sick of the media painting Lewis as a leader or men/great person/good human being.

He may even really be those things at this point in his life, but it still makes people uneasy to be waxed poetic about him every second when it's fairly obvious he was not only complicit in these murders, but was also willing to throw his friends under the bus to save his own ass. Again, the issue many have is with the media, not even entirely Lewis himself.

Let's not forget that he has fathered 6 children with 4 different women, so keep that in mind while he's praising god every time he opens his stupid mouth. This guy isn't winning awards for husband or father of the year any time soon. But hey, keep pounding home what great character he possesses.

When it comes to Lewis, these media outlets should stick to talking about tackles and interceptions. Nobody wants to hear about what a fine man this guy is. It makes people uneasy.

Do some research since you're not reading what is being wrote. From all the facts, he was very complicit in the cover up and like I told you, two witnesses originally said he was involved with the fight than they retracted those statements in the courtroom. And what was his knife doing on the ground where the bodies were? I think it's safe to say, he was VERY complicit.
