After the Olsen trade Bush would have been an amazing addition. Sproles fits the mold well of what Martz offense could use.

Barber does nothing for the team other then absorb salary.



Labeling Moss, Ochocinco, Edwards, and Floyd "average" relative to Williams is laughable.

Williams is a fucking joke and hasn't done anything worthwhile in 5 seasons.

All those other guys are at least younger and more promising than Williams or veterans who are just flat out better.

Meh, I wont blast JA for not giving paper to two clones of Matt Forte. IMHO, no other RB's would have made the team significantly better.

We can agree to disagree about the WR. I personally want nothing to do with Chad Johnson, or Randy Moss. Floyd, meh he put up similar numbers to Roy Williams, in a much better offense with a top QB while V-Jack was out. Sure, he may be better than Roy, but again. Roy is 1.5 Mil.

Edit - Also, I think the Olsen trade was good. But I still think people are misinformed over WHO was really pushin for it. It was Olsen who wanted out. He wanted out last year as soon as he heard Martz was hired.

These guys give you something you already have in Forte. Maybe it would be fun to have Bush/Forte on the field at the same time, but you'd basically be paying out the ass for a player you already have.

I respectfully disagree with you sir. Barber has proven to be one of the leagues best short yardage/goal line backs. Forte just doesn't have that thumper skillset like Barber. Of course Barber saw less time last year, but I think he had some injuries. Hopefully Barber can bounce back and play with a chip on his shoulder or just more pep. I think Barber still has a lot of years ahead of him. I mean he's never had more than 238 carries in a season, 113 carries last year, and he's great in short yardage, so he'll have a place on any team that lacks a back with his size and skill set. He could come in and give the Bears that power back they need in that role. I think he'll find a niche in Chicago and really help out.

Forte is still going to be the feature back of course, and I fully expect him to repeat last years success.

The Okaye and Gholston signings are great moves. I'll be rooting for Gholston, I was one of the guys who thought he was going to be amazing and always thought he was going to have his breakout year after year. Hopefully he becomes something for you guys.

Yeah I'm with you on Barber I've always liked him too, although IMO he's always been an overpaid situational RB. He's the kind of guy that fills a niche though, so I think he'll help out often next season.

Jerious Norwood makes the team better. Reggie Bush playing out of the slot and as a 3rd down RB in Martz offense makes the offense much better. Especially after the joke of a trade involving Olsen.

He was also on a team with Antonio Gates and Darren Sproles. I'd also rather have Floyd, the 3rd leading WR on a really good offense than Williams, the 5th leading WR, on a marginal offense.

The dude played through several injuries last season, which included lingering calf and knee injuries. Besides the fact that he was used primarily in short yardage because of the emergence of Jones, and Choice stepping up. Barber is a proven short yardage back when healthy. I'm not trying to bill Barber as a 100% fact that he'll be great for the Bears, but I'm saying if he's used right, and if he is healthy, he has a great chance to give the Bears something they don't have.
