I dont expect you to agree with me, the media has drilled into you dudes mind that he is a great QB, he isnt. Cant blame the Shanahans for implementing a system that utilizes his athleticism but he hasnt shown me anything than indicates he can make nfl throws, on a consistent basis, if needed. Guy routinely had receivers running wide open off all that run action they had going on with 3 and 4 players in the backfield and really didnt have to show much from a true QB standpoint. He really hasnt been asked to do much. Dude came from a college offense with no playbook and his NFL playbook doesnt require many reads. If this injury takes away his mobility and his speed is all of a sudden pedestrian, then we will see how good of a QB he is. Until then he is an injury prone, QB running a college offense.
You can turn this into a Freeman vs Griffin thread if you want, take away his wheels and he has no shot at being a better pocket passer than Freeman. Freeman is undoubtedly inconsistent but he 1. Stays healthy and 2. Has shown he can be a successful "QB" in this league. Griffin is not Griffin w/o his mobility, his frame wont allow him to withstand the abuse he is gonna take without being able to escape. Hell, he already showed he cant hold up with his mobility. Guy has a potential career altering injury in his rookie year and you are talking about taking him over players X,Y and Z. Get real.
