obviously left a black cloud on the victory but it was a lot of fun.

That's a shame cause Seattle played a good game.

Game was truly horribly officiated from the start though.. you could just feel the refs influencing the outcome of the game, and ultimately they did. Amazingly enough the Seahawks were actually on the good end of a ref screw job for once.

What you said is absolutely true, but immediately after the game, I was saying to the family, you have to credit to Seattle and how well they played in order to be in a position to take advantage of some of the calls. Now, yes, some of those calls went against Seattle too, but like you say, they were on the good end of the unintentional screw job by the replacement refs. Still have to give credit to Seattle for playing such a good game.

Both D's looked good Monday Night. I was also pleased to see GB was able to get physical in the second half on offense. I was afraid they were JUST a finesse offense. I was glad to see how well they ran the ball that second half against a very good/physical D.

I would be cutting the guy a little bit of a break. He is a rookie. Wilson's not throwing the ball up for grabs, he actually throws the ball out of bounds. He doesn't seem to get rattled by being in the NFL or make those Rookie disasters than can kill games. Sure, he might need a good running game and defense cause he won't win games by himself. He's not ready for that yet. But he's been impressive that as a Rookie, he's not losing games for you. Protect him a little with play calling. But the guy is a pretty accurate passer and is athletic. I just have a feeling that he will end up being (at least) a good NFL QB.

I'll preface this by saying I like Russell Wilson and I agree with the last part of your post.

My biggest gripe with playing him.. ok.. you tell everyone he clearly beat out Flynn, that's great, but open up the offense for him then. It's so vanilla and predictable it's insane. Darrell Bevell has gone on record as saying they're scaling down the playbook to benefit him and simplify things somewhat. Which is coach speak for "we have no confidence in him and we just want him to go 10 of 12 for 80 yards and let Lynch + the defense carry us to a victory.."

That works well at the beginning of the year, but if this offense doesn't start performing .. the defense will wear down sooner rather than later. Bevell either needs to take the training wheels off this Russell Wilson experiment and see what he has.. or put Flynn in if you're not fully confident in Wilson's abilities to really run this offense.

The Seahawks, for the first time in I can remember, have a legit Top 5 defense. They can contend in the NFC if the offense plays even at a Top 15 pace.. right now they are DEAD LAST in passing yards at 127 a game and 6th in rushing. That basically says all you need to know.

Seattle didnt play well at all.when the real officials get back their defense will be middle of the road. The fact is both teams were geetting away with stuff in that game. But the only reason Seattles Defense looked good is because of all they got away with. They only scored on 2 lucky long passes. I almost want to guarantee a Rams win in the next game...better coach..better QB ...
