There is so much bullshit to sift threw I'm just going to start a new without quoting the bullshit.
First off, don't lump me in with anybody, I can't remember ever saying Fitz is the best WR in the NFL, I just acknowledge he's in the top tier or WR's.
Fitz had 780 yds 13.4 avg, and 8 TD's as a rookie before Warner came to town, pretty good.
Boldin wasn't that bad either, 1377 13.6 avg 8 TD's as a rookie. Missed 5 games the next year but still managed 623 yds.
In 05 Warner missed 6 games.
In those 6 games Fitz had 102, 136, 71, 36, 93, and 80 yds with 5 TDs out of 10.
Boldin had 116, 162, out, 69, 81 and 81 with 4 TDs out of his 7 that season.
McCown was the QB during this time period and had 1675 yds 9 tds and 8 picks in these six starts. McCown...fucking Josh McCown. He was thrown out of Oakland for crying out loud!
In 06 Leinart started 9 games.
Fitz missed some time this year (3 Lienart games) but still managed 499 yds out of the 6 full games he played with Leinart, and that's more than half of the 946 yds he totaled that season. Better than his time spent with Warner.
Boldin had 734 yds out of 1203 and 3 of his 4 TDs with Leinart. Better than his time spent with Warner.
In the first two games of 07
Leinart sucked game 1 (what's new?) and threw for a 41.1 rating.
Fitz had 20 yds, and 87 yds the next week. Not too shabby with the shitty QB.
Boldin had 22 yds and 83, mirroring Fitz pretty much.
Boldins best years ('03/1377/8, '05/1402/7, '06/1203/4) were before Warner took over as a full time starter.
Fitz only had is rookie season before Warner, but he was pretty damn good as I pointed out before, and without Warner has maintained a high level of production.
Now you're here spouting off like it's gospel the one half of football, with a shitty QB, when the Cards have a lead and wouldn't mind playing more controlled football with a shitty QB like Leinart, as your proof that Warner is the only good thing on that offense. BULLSHIT!
But back to this season.
Larry Fitzgerald - 71 receptions, 792 yards, 9 TDs.
Mike Sims-Walker - 47 receptions, 694 yards, 6 TDs.
Just sayin'.
Who the fuck as S-W played this year? I mean who's been covering this guy? Nobody that's who.
The Jets are the only good pass D S-W has faced, and they held him to 49 yards.
He's burned AZ for 106, Hou for 81, Ten for 91, StL for 120, in the Tenn rematch Garrard got hit more times than a shitty prize fighter and S-W had 2 catches. S-W then burned KC for 147 yds, Jets held him to 49, and Buff he burned for 91 yds. He's been running free all year long with nobody to cover him, no wonder he's blown up this year.
And Garrard is better than Leinart that's for damn sure. He's more accurate, has a stronger arm, he's tough to bring down, and he picks his targets pretty well. He's no Warner that's for sure, but he's better than Leinart anyday, and he's still a good QB and can hit his marks. Besides it's really hard for a QB to come in off the bench at halftime and be as effective as the Warner, especially shitty ass Leinart.
And Fitz has faced much better opposition than S-W. NYG he had 83 yds, Chitown he had 123, and a list of other teams that are week after week better overall at covering WR's than the crap that S-W has faced.
Nuk, you know as well as I do that Fitz runs that short crossing route more often than anybody else in the league, it stands to reason why his Y/R are so much less than S-W who runs as free as road runner all day long.
