He's not 'giving up' on Kevin Kolb... unless you think Vick will be the Eagles starter for the next years or more which depending on how Vick continues to play can be a possibility. Right now I'd put my money on the Eagles to win that divison and once you're into the playoffs anything can happen. If you would have told me in 2008 that the Cardinals would have made it to the Superbowl I would have been lmao and same things goes for the Giants winning the Superbowl in 2007. This obviously is a win-now move and I think it's a bit ridiculous to say the Eagles have no shot at a Superbowl, especially if Vick continues his play right now. In the NFL, anything can happen.

Honestly, this was gonna happen eventually like it or not, but not because of Vick's success, but because of the inability of your offensive line. There were guys in the backfield on almost every play last weekend. Your line is weak and not full strength to begin with. Jason Peters went down with what looked like a season ending twice on Sunday (back in the game 2 plays later lol). Vick's speed and ability to get out of the pocket is a necessity for your team. Otherwise, Kolb would get crushed ala David Carr career.

while I agree with you on we should have just kept McNabb, with the line in disarray and Vick actually showing he's progressed as a QUARTERBACK, this was the only move to be made. Reid got rid of mcnabb based on 2 games of football, so why shouldnt he give up on Kolb after 1 half.
