Like i said, i don't doubt that this is going to be the Final next year as well, both teams even though they're already very good and have a pool of talent, they'll be so much better, the younger guys obviously get more experience, so yeah,

The Wings are always a favorite for the Cup, but now the Penguins are a favorite as well, as long as they have Malkin, Crosby and Fleury.

To be honest, not trying to be a homer, but I think the Wings have a better shot of being back than the Pens. I just think that the Caps are closer to the Pens in terms of talent than anyone else in the West is to the Wings, sans the Sharks. I think the Sharks are just as good, but it seems like they've been catching a case of the Red Wings the last couple years getting knocked out early in the playoffs.

I'm glad someone else brought the Caps up, i've always thought the Caps were better talent-wise than the Penguins, but they got knocked out, so whatever.
Obviously we'll see, but yeah we're still atop the West, while the East is ever-changing and crazy.lol.

Most talent isn't what it takes to win in this league. Sharks can't do it and most President's winners don't usually do it either.

This is a team sport through and through. Even with all stars being all stars, you need the whole team to contribute. I don't think the Caps have that kind of depth that the Pens or Wings do at this point.

I'd not be surprised to see a 3 peat between these two.

Great game, great series. I loved every second of it. I think it was a very good season for the NHL as a whole.

Here is to next year being just as good if not better, and the Blackhawks doin what the Pens just did....Not only winning, but putting the Red Wings out as well.

Well that was fucking awesome. I just got back from a big sports bar in Pittsburgh and it was just sheer madness, it was deafening inside. All the electronic signs on the interstate on the way home say the Pens won the Cup. Fun stuff!

The second goal Talbot scored I don't think he should of. Osgood was way to the right of his crease. That pretty much gave Talbot the whole left side of the net. Either Osgood thought Talbot couldn't make the shot or he lost where he was (meaning Osgood).

Osgood was cheating on his blocker side as this is where Talbot apparently shoots all the time. Talbot took advantage.

Not his best goal this year, but I still argue Osgood was in the running for Wings MVP. The man single-handedly won us games the entire playoffs and followed that up with keeping us in games 3, 4 and 6 of the finals.

Second Talbot goal was unfortunate for Osgood, but he has nothing to apologize for.
His save % was .980 or so in these playoffs.
The Wings lost, but it had nothing to do with Osgood.

Penguins just dug deeper when it counted.
