This goes back to me arguing that the actual refs aren't under as big of a microscope as the replacement refs were. I also stated that, because of said microscope, nobody would call the actual refs out for the exact same stuff the replacement refs were called out for. Almost everyone tried to tell me that wouldn't happen. Well, where's the media backlash? The fans calling for their heads?

Hypocrits.

I didn't watch the Steelers/Giants game so I can't comment on it. But I haven't seen a Packer game ref'd as poorly as the Seattle game in any of the Packer games since. Some bad calls, sure, but not anything like that GB/Seattle game. I'll take the regular refs. You keep your microscope.

The Steelers don't go through those cycles, and their best defensive players aren't old. Their secondary (#1 against the pass) is pretty young. Woodley and Timmons aren't old, Ziggy Hood isn't old.

I'm pretty sure you don't know what the fuck you're talking about. They are actually getting better as the year goes on as the younger guys are getting playing time in the secondary.

every team goes through the cycle...sure, I 'll say Pitt does a better job of it and last a couple more years on average then alot of teams but the older guys are still the reason they win or lose no matter how good the young guys are getting at this moment just like the end of last year. The older guys aren't the reason they win or lose lol... Troy P hasn't played, and Harrison has been average at best. Keenan Lewis has been amazing opposite of Taylor. Mundy and Clarke have played really well. I'm pretty sure you don't see many Steelers games, because you have no idea who's doing what on that team. You hear ESPN call them old and parrot it, even though it's the younger guys making that defense one of the best in the league.

So you take one of the worst calls to end a game and that's what you use as your litmus test? Ok, Bucky. What about the 1 or 2 other games where the Packers got screwed over by calls? Just because it doesn't directly cost a team a game doesn't mean they aren't awful calls.

But they ARE making a lot of mistakes and bad calls, yet there's no uproar. I'm not going to get into it again because I was right, nobody would bring up any bad/awful calls once the normal refs came back.

kmanharris is 100% correct when he says that if this NYG/PIT game had been officiated by the scabs, it would be a huge story and would have been the focus of every fake argument show on ESPN and consuming talk radio all week.

The scabs were terrible, but the real refs are only one notch above. They're all terrible, and no matter who is officiating you get a game or two per week that the officials ruin.

FFS, a week later the Packers almost got screwed out of the game against the Saints, via the actual refs. They won though so nothing was even mentioned of it.

Fair enough, though not really relevant to anything. None of the teams the Steelers lost to will be in the playoff, and only 1 of the teams the Ravens beat will be in the playoffs. The Ravens won't be there.
