SF had two of their draws hurt badly tonight with Mo and Lashley getting worked. Add on that their MW championship bout was somehow more boring than a Shields fight (who they cut for being boring) and it was a very bad show from a business sense.

Which makes it a good thing that SF doesn't seem to manage to get many of these events out there and advertised properly...

Not a good show...Strikeforce's two biggest future draws quit and get rocked respectively and a guy gets knocked out after the bell.

You guys are being pretty hard on Lashley. No, he should have never lost to that bum, but he physically dominate. He got caught with an uppercut shooting, it happens. He doesn't know how to finish yet, we saw the same thing against Jason Guida. Now we know why he keeps turning down big opponents, he has work to do. He'll be ok with that great wrestling base, he just needs fine tuning.

Lashley lost to a part time MMA fighter, who couldn't make 235 lbs, and hadn't had a fight in over a year! He should have looked dominant because it was such an easy opponent. However, even against that easy opponent, he couldn't finish, got gassed, and ended up TKO'd. That is VERY bad.

Interesting how the tv perspective and live perspective differ. The Kennedy/Jacare fight was the most over fight of the night, while the tv viewers thought it was boring. Crowd reactions are everything, I was very much into that fight.

I could tell he was gassed, he was heaving hard, but I though the uppercut combined with the hammerfists to the back of the head was what finished him off. People live were pissed because they thought the illegal blows finished it.

Some thoughts

Reffing was bad all around until Big John did the fights

The stand up from mount was brutal, Lashley was gassed, but if they let to go to the round he might been able to catch a breath, no reason for that stand up

KJ Noons is easily 1 of the best strikers in MMA, he actually uses angles, distance, etc...Gurgel has never been TKO'd and Noons was tagging him, the punch at the bell happens, it was in the flow, nothing wrong

Than the ref jacked up the stoppage, Noons should be fined for the knee, but the ref finally came in and already called it

Jacare and Kennedy both fought not to lose, didnt like it that much, Jacare showed improved stand up and Kennedy didnt really have a plan, he should have been more aggressive and try and ugly the fight up, he only tried a couple times, Jacare was just quicker on his feet

Feijao vs Mo was a really good fight, when Feijao stopped that TD with the 1 hand plant I was impressed, first round was close, Mo did really well in the 2nd, I think he got a little cocky on his feet and he paid for it

Note to fighters, don't trade body shots in the clinch against knees to the head, thats just lack of experience

That was the best shape I ever seen Feijao in

Also, King Mo losing isnt awful, just look at it like this, the talk before was that King Mo had no challenges and blah blah blah from the MMA community, now Feijao is the champ, Mousasi is right back in the mix and thats an interesting fight, King Mo is still here, now Hendo and Babalu added and Mike Kyle has a win over Feijao and just beat Abongo, he is right there also, alot of potential LHW matches now when it looked like there were not any
