Vindication for Ted Thompson. Dude took a lot of heat during that Brett Favre mess, but it paid off.

I hope you Packer fans realize how lucky you are, going from Favre to Rodgers. Some teams take years to replace a HOF quarterback(the Dolphins are still looking). And with all the young talent GB has on both sides of the ball, they're set up nicely for the next 5-7 years.

Some of us DO realize it. I lived through the long 30 year drought between Championships. Thought they had a couple of good QB's in Dickey and Magic. But to go from Brett to Aaron.....WOW.

The streets of Green Bay were flooded for about 6 hours last night. There was a green and yellow fireworks show. There were screaming fans and several thousand people on the streets yelling Go Pack Go!

Never been so happy to live in Green Bay.

My uncles neighbor has a friend that taped the 1961 NFL Champ game off of a Canadian Broadcast. He gave a copy to my Uncle Saturday Morning. I went over to my Uncles on Saturday and watched the game IN IT'S ENTIRETY. God, Huff was in just about every tackle, but GB just dominated that game.

There was one series that the Refs made a mistake and gave GB 5 downs.

It was Fricken AWESOME.

Clay Matthews III, the former Agoura High linebacker, won a Super Bowl on Saturday with the Green Bay Packers, forcing the decisive fumble in the second half of a 31-25 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers.

His father, Clay II, played 19 years in the NFL. His uncle, Bruce, is in the Hall of Fame. And his grandfather, Clay, played in the NFL in the 1950s. They all never won a championship.

"The monkey is off the Matthews family back," Matthews proclaimed.

It took a former walk-on at USC to pull it off. And there's another Matthews arriving in the NFL next season, brother Casey, the ex-Oaks Christian linebacker.

Never realized that the Matthews never had a title in the family. Good for them.

Yeah it sucks to lose, maybe if you cared or if you're team was ever worth anything you would know. Just because he hasn't posted in a day makes him butthurt?

Anyways onto the game...

Mendenhall fumbling was big also, just one of those turnovers go our way and we win the game. I think if I were to lose the Super Bowl though, I would most want to lose against the Packers over any other team, excellent organization, excellent fans, very classy, kind of reminds me of pittsburgh. But every Green Bay fan i know has been very upstanding about the whole thing, the only crap I catch is from bandwagon jumpers and Steeler haters.

Overall I think our corners blow dick and our line played alright, but Ben played alright with 1 of the picks not being his fault. Turnovers lost the game.

congrats on jumping on the bandwagon

and also, the best entertainment, the best movies and music are considered great because they are emotionally involving. as is sports, at least if you care. Die hards know what I mean when I say I hate watching the Steelers lose and I'm giddy after a win, but that's what makes sport great

What constitutes an ejection in the NFL? I thought after Williams threw that punch on the punt return that he would be tossed but apparently a punch doesn't equal an ejection? Maybe it wouldn't have mattered but I definitely thought a thrown punch that was seen by the ref would have resulted in a toss.

The Steelers team, coaches, showed a lot of class leading up to the game, and after the game. In fact, both teams did.

That Shayn guy was a real decent Steeler fan. He represented your fan base really well. You seem real classy too dude.

This was a SB of two great orgs with a lot of history behind each. And the game lived up to it. Coach Tomlin is JUST PURE CLASS.
