Clearly a hold, two handfuls of jersey, no call. Derps were saying it was within five yards, but a hold is a hold and that doesn't matter. But the officials are not going to call that ticky tack shit in a big spot. The foul needs to be egregious. Arguing the merits of that is a separate discussion altogether. I have a ton of problems with NFL officiating, I will just leave it at that.

It seems after every big game we now have people complaining about refs. I've been watching sports for a long time and in championship games refs try their hardest to let the players play. It is the way it always has been and will be. Generally, when they make a call at the end of a game fans complain as well.

Same thing in the NBA. We all know in a playoff game or the NBA Finals, on a critical possession, the whistle gets tighter. They aren't calling a hip check or late contact that might get called in the second quarter. It just isn't happening.

I'm not really defending the non call from last night, but I understand why they swallowed the whistle.

Flacco came up huge a bunch of times when the 9ers had him, I was surprised at a couple plays were he got away and than completed for some first downs, figured he was just going to throw it away and he is pulling off some good throws

I can't be the only one who saw Crabs shove Smith down by his head when the ball was in the air, right?

At the very worst that was an offsetting penalty situation which I guess would have given the 49ers another shot.

Ed Reed being offsides on the conversion was a bigger missed call IMO especially when they dinged SF for a big double offsides call a few minutes later that was pretty iffy.

He was held, but what I have been saying is that usually when you are inside the 10 and trying to execute a fade the WR has to create separation, but faking a slant route or something. Instead Crabtree just decided to run at Smith, create contact and try to out muscle his way to the ball. Avoiding contact by creating separation is the way to execute a fade route.

Reffing was no where as bad as when the Steelers got almost every call/no call against the Seahawks

Makes no sense, most confusing aspect of the NFL rulebook, and I complain about it all the time.

The WR catches the ball, tucks it away, turns up field, takes two steps, and has the ball dislodged by the hit. Somehow, this isn't a fumble. I have no idea what constitutes a catch anymore. No clue.

Nevermind the fact that the defender blatantly spears the receiver in the face. No call.

It's gotten to be really hard to analyze the league or break these things down, because the rules and the calls are so inconsistent.

Well if you're a fan of defensive games, this should be right up your alley if last year's mini HarBowl was any indication.

Props to the Ravens for unseating Peyton Manning and Tom Brady on the road to reach the big game. Momentum and passion are on their sides, but I believe we are the more talented team.

Ferragamo's Rams were an average team with a great D that won a weak conference. Kaepernick has not faced one weak opponent in the playoffs and has played brilliantly with his legs, arm and head. Comparing him to Ferragamo is ridiculous.

Go back and watch all of those tackles. How many were made 5 yards after the guy he was covering caught the ball and started running? Don't just look at numbers. Watch the game.

As always, it will come down to turnovers. With defenses and coaches this good and familiar with each other, I I expect a low scoring "boring" game that I will personally love.

I have no idea who is going to win, I know the Ravens are going to prepare heavily for the pistol and I think they will be able to contain Kaep. It will come down to the Niners OL vs the Ravens front 7. Playaction is crucial for SF.

On the other side, can the Ravens OL protect Flacco?

Who will make more mistakes? I know I'm not saying anything groundbreaking, it's football 101, but it's impossible to predict.
