The length being gone to here to justify the hold is kind of silly. It won't change the outcome of the game if you admit you got away with one. Doesn't matter if Crabtree sat down on his ass for the whole play, that doesn't define what you can do on defence nor does it negate any penalties inflicted upon him. If a player executes a shitty route, it's okay to clock him in the head then?
The logic you're presenting doesn't make sense.
Nobody's putting an asterisk against this or saying it wasn't deserved (well, shouldn't be saying so), but it was a blown call 100% and I don't see how it can be argued otherwise.
