Looks like the offspring of Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Crysis and, I may be wrong here, but it also looks to use DICE's BF3 engine.

Anyways, a 4-player co-op demo comes out next Tuesday (Jan. 31) so I want to get people organized to try it out.

Plot

2069: No longer governed by politicians, the developed world is divided up into regions controlled by mega-corporations known as syndicates. These syndicates have revolutionized how the consumer interacts with the digital world. Since the consumer requires a device to access the world's data and control technology, they can do this in the blink of an eye via neural chip implant.

Civilians flocked to be "Chip'd" and enjoy all that their selected syndicate has to offer: housing, medical, banking, insurance, education, entertainment and jobs. One complete package. One complete lifestyle. In return, the syndicates gained unprecedented insights, and control, over the individual and their behavior. With little government oversight, business has become war. The syndicates will stop at nothing for ultimate market dominance.

At the first line of this war are the agents, the syndicate's bio-engineered and chip-augmented enforcers. They can breach anything in the wired dataverse, including their enemies, their weapons and the environment that surrounds them, making them the most efficient and deadly technological weapons in the world. Take on the role of Miles Kilo, EuroCorp's latest prototype agent, and embark on a brutal action adventure of corruption and revenge.

Gameplay

Players are not limited to the weapons in their hands. Through the DART 6 bio-chip technology implanted in their head, players can slow down time and breach the digital world around them to take down their foes using a variety of upgradable hacking mechanics. The game has been described as a "kind of mix between Crysis-style first-person shooter action and the clean sci-fi world of Mass Effect". A four-player co-op mode has been confirmed, with a separate campaign based on missions from the original game.

For some reason I thought this game was a RTS so I never gave it any mind. Isn't this a reboot or something? Weren't the originals RTS games?

I tried to find a face that described my unease with how this game will turn out. I just haven't seen enough to know either way.

And yes, the original was more along the lines of an RTS. Definitely not a FPS.

I really hope they don't cock this up. I loved the original. However, at least this game is going to come out. The other FPS based on a classic RTSish game (XCom) can't seem to get its shit together.

I loved the original on PC back in the day, was tons of fun, but SUPER Hard! I hope they get the whole world/atmosphere right. From what I've seen so far it's got it, but who knows what it plays like.

actually, since I dont usually visit the PSN store for demos, I actually had no idea...

I guess I could bitch about Console A taking a whole day to put up a demo and compare it to Console B having it up already, include a line about if 1 is SO superior to another....

Oh, trust me, I think the fact that PSN doesn't update their store until the evening is stupid as fuck and I've said so many times. I also think it's stupid that the times varies. You never know when that shit will update. I've seen it as late as 10pm and it always seems worse when there is a big release that everyone is eagerly anticipating.

But yeah, I'll be on when I get home around 3:30.
