I've on the field for 6 NFL practices, and I intend to head to Chicago next summer to see a couple more. I really want to meet Devin Hester.

If you think any other NFL team doesn't put in new plays during the week, you're just as naive as I am. The only reason this is "different" is because it's the Evil Option that can't be run at this level.

Teams put in new formations/motions/plays every single game. You guys are acting like Denver is re-inventing the wheel.

Again, they haven't changed much.

They ran Inside Zone/Stretch from a 3 TE formation (with Tebow under center), they ran the Triple Option/Load Option (which is zone blocking except you disregard a player), they ran Zone Read (which is zone blocking), and they ran QB Power from a Shotgun-Quads formation (which is power blocking).

Let me spell this out for you because your stupidity is actually pissing me off.

THEY DID NOT CHANGE THEIR SCHEME. They added a new wrinkle - which every team in the league does - but apparently when it's the Option, it's a "crazy new system".

Look at some of the critical plays in the game. On the 4th and inches during the opening possession, Tim Tebow TURNED AROUND FROM UNDER CENTER AND HANDED THE BALL TO THE RUNNING BACK ON AN INSIDE ZONE PLAY. This is not a new play. In fact, this may have been the first play they ever put in this season.

Look at every 3rd and medium. Did they do the patented Tebow Jump Pass? Was there Jet Motion and Tebow spun backwards and threw a pass to Aaron Hernandez? NO. Tebow took the snap, dropped back, and missed his receiver by 80 yards. THESE ARE NOT NEW PLAYS. Oh, but they ran a Bubble Screen... this must be a completely new offensive scheme!!

What happened on the last drive? Outside of one Load Option run which was new, everything else was in by Day 3. The QB Power? Hey o-line, block it like regular power... Tebow is just gonna keep it. Pretty confusing stuff. The last play of the game was Three Verticals... thank God Tebow put that one in!

Did they put in new plays? Yes. Does it take timing to practice? Yes. Did they change their "offensive scheme"? Hardly.

What they did change is their gameplan, which you correctly said is not the scheme. That means throwing less and running more. You further proved my point by saying they are throwing less and running more, which is a change in the gameplan, not the scheme.

EDIT: I guarantee you San Francisco put in new plays that week. Guarantee you. We just don't see it because it blends in with the rest of the offense. The Option is a little more obvious. But because they had a new gameplan does not mean they have a new offensive scheme.

I think he is just saying that fundamentally this is a rather simple concept to install, and a lot of it is rooted in the same basic zone blocking principles they already had.

NFL teams do installation every week, let's not make this a HUGE FUCKING DEAL. I get that they changed their style mid stream, that takes balls and I'm glad it's working out for them. But the degree of difficulty is being overstated a bit I think.

As you guys know, because you won't stop talking about it, Denver is now running the ball, punting and playing good defense. Those aren't exactly radical ideas. Scheme wise though I think the zone blocking principals are the same. Zone blocking needs a ton of repetitions against thousands of fronts. When to deuce bump, when to scoop, when to let go, how to pick up a stunt, a blitz, all of these different factors are relevant in a Zone blocking scheme.

I thought the whole point of Zone blocking was its simplicity. You don't need a ton of repetitions against numerous fronts, because you are going to be blocking it the same way every time. Its the simplest of all blocking concepts to teach. If you are having difficulty picking up a stunt in a zone blocking scheme, then you are probably teaching it wrong.
