Pretty sure they ripped this gimmick from an upcoming Inspire storyline where a Dust Bowl Carnivale type group gets warped into 2014 Texas Indy Wrestling.

Pretty sure Biss has the INSPIRE LAW TEAM working round the clock.

They're all trying to catch the lightning in the bottle that was Kizarny....

The Shield continues to be booked unbelievably well. Name a wrestler/tag team/feud booked as well or better the last 30 years. I know this place has a wealth of knowledge and I'm quite open to learning about indy or Jap stuff that would be worth a watch. Go.

Wow. So open ended. I can point to a million things, but that doesn't take away from your point. The Shield has been booked unbelievably well, including the period where they teased the breakup and then backed off from it.

We talked about it on the podcast we did last night (which was lost and will never air), but I really love how it's not all about Roman anymore. Yeah, he's still the guy they're ultimately going to run with, but the other two were starting to be like afterthoughts for a while there. Now all three are featured again.

I have no complaints about The Shield at all. None.

You wanna see good booking? Watch the WCCW stuff in order. The Freebirds/Von Erich feud is as well booked a program as you'll ever see. The entire territory was Booking 101 when it was hot, Biss will back that up when he sees this.

I looooved the Hart vs. Hart feud. Just so well done. Thats the only one I thought is on a similar level, because it had me then and it still holds up ok. I'm getting into older WCW that I don't remember (88-92), but nothing is that well done. Vader is booked really solid. Never got huge into Austin/McMahon and it is atrocious in re-watching. Maybe Brock's first run. Definitely need to watch the Freebirds/Von Erichs. I've heard so much good about the Freebird, and theVon Erichs were supposed to be like gods in that territory.

I refuse to go back and watch Austin/McMahon, I prefer to remember it fondly from YouTube clips of funny moments and from my memories. No need to ruin it.

I am still trying to find time where I can really sink my teeth into the WCCW period Warner referenced. Since I am not familiar with wrestling at all from that time, I want a day where I know I will be doing nothing and can pay attention to it.

Every.single.week...20 minutes in the opener, 20 minutes to close the show, between every segment is STONE COLD WATCH...zOMG, when will the Rattlesnake show up!...if not STONE COLD WATCH...its backstage segments with McMahon.

I'd like to leave it right where it is.

One weird thing about the Freebirds/Von Erichs stuff that I noticed watching the Network, is originally it was just Hayes & Gordy, but when they introduced Buddy Roberts, he came in like a house of fire into this hot heel group with...a draw vs Brian Adias.

A draw?

Then he cut this cocky promo, and if you are watching this blind, you have to be thinking, why is this guy such hot shit? He couldn't beat Adias, who loses every week.

Other than that, the World Class stuff on The Network basically starts with Hayes & Gordy introduced as faces in '82, and takes you through the historic angle in the Flair/Kerry cage match (which is shown in its entirety), and then right through 1983. They havent added anything since, but I hope they eventually add everything through '87 or '88 or so when it started to really fade.

It's amazing it was so successful, but so much of wrestling is time & place. He was the ultimate white trash hero, and his animosity towards his asshole boss was relateable to everyone. He was really the perfect hero of the trashy South Park era of our culture.

Like I said earlier, you can probably still find the good moments on YouTube or somewhere else on the internet and ham it up on the funny parts.....all the while not sitting through the utter crap of their lower and mid card matches.
