- Hulk Hogan completely buries pro wrestling and the prestige of fake belts, but the entire focus of his faction is to capture as many of them as possible before the lawsuit.

- I still don't understand the point of having to tag in a four-way match.

- Sarita handles Velvet Sky and Madison Rayne in singles action pretty handily a few weeks back, but suddenly gets blonde streaks and goes batshit insane, just prove a point (which is already a given) that Velvet can't do shit by herself. OK....? Sarita just gave homegirl the Justin Roberts treatment and threatened to kill her.

- HOW DO YOU HAVE A 15 MINUTE IRONMAN MATCH?!?! 15 minutes is the complete antithesis of what an Ironman match is about. It was good, but still don't call it an Ironman.

WrestleMania has always used celebrity involvement to elevate the product and generate interest to a broader audience. LaBron would have done that... Brock, not so much.

Brock would have gotten buys from people who were fans of him when he was wrestling. MMA fans who aren't already wrestling fans aren't going to buy WrestleMania for Brock's sake.

Mayweather was another bad move... why bring in a guy from a sport less popular than yourself? It's like WCW using David Arquette. Don't use a celebrity that doesn't elevate your product. WWE has always understood this principle until the past 5 years or so. The current "creative" staff is so thoroughly embarrassed by their own industry they think Pee Wee Herman elevates them.

The problem, is they don't have enough compelling personalities or even a single match that can carry the show. You can blame creative for that, and I won't argue.

Mike Tyson was a huge succeess. Donald Trump was a huge success. I'm sure I'm forgetting someone. Mayweather didn't really move the needle.

Brock would have added buys, plus he has obvious ties to the company and the business.

I don't have a problem with celebrity involvement in WM, and clearly it helps business when they get the right person. I'm done taking the WWE as a serious wrestling product anyway, and have been for years. It is what it is, and I take it for what its worth. I don't bother getting worked up anymore. I go elsewhere for my fix when I want it.

EXCLUSIVE: NJPW Wrestlers Frustrated With Upcoming NJPW/TNA Event

Several New Japan Pro Wrestling wrestlers are said to be frustrated with TNA wrestlers appearing at the upcoming Total Nonstop Action Wrestling/New Japan Pro Wrestling event to be held at the Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan on January 4th, 2011.

Speaking to a source associated with New Japan Pro Wrestling, I was informed that a reason for frustration is due to various New Japan Pro Wrestling wrestlers missing out on what is considered a big payday, especially performing in front of the huge Tokyo Dome crowd.

The Tokyo Dome paydays are always considered to be the best paid shows in Japan every year and the feeling amongst some of those is that with certain TNA Wrestling superstars appearing at the event, it short-pockets some of the roster of talent that NJPW possesses and takes spots away from those who would have otherwise appeared at the event.

Various Japanese wrestlers feel that Total Nonstop Action Wrestling is a second rate and badly maintained professional wrestling company, compared to World Wrestling Entertainment, a company where various Japanese superstars would love to wrestle and that a lot of the worldwide talent who work in Japan don’t want to work for TNA Wrestling for that very reason.

Total Nonstop Action Wrestling superstars appearing at the event include TNA World Heavyweight Champion Jeff Hardy, Rob Van Dam and Beer Money Inc. (Robert Roode & James Storm).

You should have been done ages ago...you can appreciate it more when you aren't comparing it to the golden age of ROH in the ring or the compelling storylines of ECW in the mid-90's or the immersion of culture it is in Japan and Mexico. The WWE is a different animal. They still have good, quality wrestlers, but its a different kind of animal to the other types of wrestling you enjoy.

You already knew that, just thought I'd reiterate. You have to take it for what it is worth.

TNA Champion Jeff Hardy plans to plead guilty during his next court appearance on January 20, according to Moore County district attorney Maureen Krueger. Hardy was arrested in September 2009 on various drug related charges when police received an anonymous phone call.

Powell's POV: Krueger's refusal to comment on a potential plea agreement seems to suggest that the two sides have reached a deal. I don't know why else Hardy would agree to plead guilty after all this time. It will be interesting to see whether he does any jail time.
