Nor Cena, Orton, Bryan, Show, etc. Have him crush everybody in his path, even a few of the previously mentioned names. Then, he loses to someone like Sandow or anyone in the Shield, especially Reigns, or Claudio.

And when they signed him, I thought it should eventually be Daniel Bryan. That match is tailor made for both of their strengths. The underdog who won't quit vs the unstoppable beast with real life credentials.
The last people on Earth I would have put him with would be Triple H or Cena. Maybe Cena towards the end of the run because it was a dream match sort of thing,but it was too soon. But Triple H served no purpose. Nobody wanted to see that shit.

Cena would have lost nothing by losing (it would have helped his losing streak gimmick at the time, too). He should have never been in the ring with H's in the first place, but of all people, H's doesn't need WINZ, he's an authority figure now. Punk lost nothing by losing to Lesnar and it was in a great program, too.
I am not saying Lesnar needed to beat EVERYONE...a good L would have been good for someone...but not Cena or H's and putting him in there with Big Show is fucking dumb. He needs to be in the ring with capable performers.

If you look at what Chris Harrington has written based on the quarterly reports, they've basically broke even on Brock Lesnar, which is amazing when you think about it, and just a complete failure considering how red hot he was coming in.

To be fair, they are paying Brock a shit load of money...at his pay rate, they were going to struggle to really make a lot of money off of him as an investment to begin with. They didn't help themselves at all...but it is, what it is.
He can be in there with Show, but it needs to be one-sided. Show doesn't become anything for beating Brock, especially at this point. But people will come to see Brock be Brock. It's proven. They want to see this big animal be big, bark, and destroy people. That's why people liked him in the E before, that's why they liked him in UFC, and that's why they were excited when he returned. That's his drawing ability, fucking people up. Him losing to Trips, that doesn't make a lick of sense.
Bryan would have made a great match, and would have made sense when Brock was rumored. But as far back as last June, that probably wasn't necessary because Danielson will break through with or without significant wins. But could you imagine how big a win it would be for Ambrose or Cesaro?

20 names officially in, and I get the impression this is one of those years where there is no double duty.
They've switched gears on a lot of Mania plans. Cena/Bray Wyatt may have been scraped according to Mike Johnson. The Michigan St deal made Vince's nipples hard and supposedly changed whatever plans they had for Bryan, but he was going to be in something major anyway so maybe just swapped out with Batista or something. Lesnar/Taker is the only long rumored match still on the books. Meltzer says Hogan's plan is ready to go and the creative is written through Mania. Sheamus is lobbying for Undertaker and getting LOL'd.
