The All Japan split is now official. Just when they restocked with NOAH refugees, half the roster decides to bolt.

All Japan Pro-Wrestling has officially announced their active roster as of July 1, 2013.

Taiyo Kea, Joe Doering, Suwama, Takao Omori, Manabu Soya, KENSO, Akira Raijin (aka SUSHI), Seiya Sanada, Akebono (Freelance), Masanobu Fuchi, and Andy Wu (currently in Mexico) will be remaining in the promotion, as of this time.

They are joined by “Burning" which consists of Yoshinobu Kanemaru, Go Shiozaki, Jun Akiyama, Kotaro Suzuki, and Atsushi Aoki.

This makes it official that Masakatsu Funaki, Masayuki Kono, Yasufumi Nakanoueno, KAI, Ryota Hama, Shuji Kondo, Minoru Tanaka, Kaz Hayashi, and Hiroshi Yamato have left the promotion.

These nine wrestlers are now freelance from All Japan Pro-Wrestling and it is heavily speculated that they will be joining Keiji Mutoh following his resigning from All Japan at the end of May.

After this news broke, Seiya Sanada had a change of heart and left as well.

Because it's essentially an even split, neither side really has enough talent for a full time promotion. Check out this pathetic Korakuen Hall lineup:

Sounded extremely fishy. So I looked it up.

First War Games match was 1987. The last was 1997. LOL. Three decades.

Figured they meant OVER THE COURSE of NEARLY three decades. Had matches in two different decades.

I would SO BE THERE if I was within a few hundred miles. This is so out of the box for SUPER SERIOUS ROH, I bet it'll be a lot of fun.

Fed says it's at some sketchy bar, I don't think he's going. Plus I don't think he can sit through the Jimmy Jacobs concert.

It's at some really terrible bar in the south suburbs of Chicago (epicenter of trash), that's not even the problem though because they put the shows in the corner. The problem is Jimmy Jacobs... I can barely sit through that dude wrestling a 10 minute match let alone a concert. Perhaps if they say that you can throw stuff at the performers I'll consider it.

I don't know if it was a work. I guess ROH is just confident enough that they'll be back in the fall that they felt comfortable leaving the title on him and turning it into a storyline.

Sorta like the Punk thing a few years ago, except Briscoe is legit not under contract and could fuck them over if he really wanted to if he got an offer.

He was going to be gone until August all along.

The big mystery, and something Larry & I talked about, was whether or not he would do that 8/3 match against Elgin and drop the title if he ended up signing with WWE or TNA or New Japan or Gabe or whoever the fuck.

But now that he's cutting promos & shit, I don't think ROH has anything to worry about either way. It's already July. At the end of the day they won't even be gone very long. With ROH's schedule, especially in the summer, he's going to miss like 3 or 4 total shows, one of which is HOOOOPLA, a gimmick show.

In real ROH time, he will have technically not missed any time if he works that 8/3 show. If he does, as I suspected early on...all of this is much to do about nothing.

really should hinder #demBoys ability to get over with a more refined crowd.

For real though...he's out until 8/3, selling the injury, they run a gimmick where Nigel says he needs to show or forfeit the title...he shows up (with some theatrics of OMG, willz he showzzz?!!?!), has a good match with Elgin selling the shoulder, but in usual Elgin format, its a slobberknocker, and he drops the title.

I think a Jay title run has a short shelf life...they already ran through all of the intriguing angles with him.
