Well I just did a screen shot from uStream lol but yeah, there's no reason most indys couldn't get at the very least Gold. Also YouTube Live allows basically anyone to stream for free (only ad supported). I'm assuming YTLive is way more stable than GFL, WWNLive or any of these other fly-by-night websites.

So if im understanding this correctly, after the first 5000 hours, it's only costing New Japan $.60 (3 hour show X $.20 per hour) per viewer to broadcast the shows. So even with the cheaper $10 & $15 shows, the profit is phenomenal after they clear the first $999.
And it only takes 40 $25 buys to make that $999 back.
This is a god damn gold mine.

Early estimates for New Japan were low end 1,000 or so, high end over 2,000 (international, Japan runs on another platform and does around 100,000 domestic for a Dome show, 40-80k for a standard show which population adjusted is pretty solid business). But nobody knows how accurate those estimates were, because Meltzer stopped reporting them when it became obvious they were sketchy figures at best. So in short, nobody really knows.
This is very unscientific, but I suspect Dragon Gate does next to nothing, because I live tweet every show from all of these companies, and twitter is dead during the DG shows. I'm talking DEAD. No buzz, no chatter, nothing. During G1 and big New Japan shows, twitter is on fire, even at 3am.
ROH does four figures routinely, they topped 2,000 for a few Final Battles. They could easily afford USTREAM & profit.
DGUSA from what I recall in in the 400-600 range, topping out around 900-1000. Evolve a little lower. Still, with 40 fucking buys the break even point, to me it's a no brainer. But wwnlive is under the same umbrella, so they will never leave because there is no split or cost, it's all bottom line for them. The rub, is the shitty stream quality driving off consumers.
Unless uStream considers them an Enterprise account, you would be correct. And yes, from what I can tell just by looking at the cost and estimates of their buys they are indeed making a killing.

I would assume, if they are making such a killing with high end buys that NJPW is probably an Enterprise Account so they are always getting top of the line customer service, etc.
Perhaps its based on customer, but still, I can't imagine the cost being too high where they aren't turning a massive profit.
Enterprise, I have no idea honestly, you have to call to even get a quote. Just my assumption, they aren't Enterprise. The reason I believe that is some accounts have daily or constant video streams (CBS, TMZ, Wall Street Journal, PBS) that would need a plan since they are likely getting hit with viewer hours all day, every day.
NJPW? They have it once or twice a month at most. Given iPPV buy estimates, I could see them being Pros and as Warner laid out paying the additional few centers per viewer hour once they top out their account. I could be wrong though.

The only difference between the other options and Enterprise that I noticed that would benefit NJPW is the premium support. Anytime they've ever had even a hiccup, the issue is resolved within minutes...my only piece of evidence I got.

I have never encountered even the slightest buffering wheel on USTREAM that wasn't the fault of my own internet. New Japan had some payment hiccups on early shows, but what they did was air everything for free with no pay wall until it was sorted out. Other than that, I can not recall a single glitch or malfunction on any New Japan, Dragon Gate, or Wrestle-1 show. And i've ordered all of them aside from one New Japan show (last year's G1 tag final, I believe). Also, the replays are up and running within minutes of the live airing wrapping up.

Re: BTR, that's the reason Jon (Lefty) and I left and stopped doing 643. Even when he had a microphone and we did it in the same room it still sounded like we did it through a 40-foot long PVC pipe. Just shit audio quality, which was cool when it was free, but when they started charging monthly we were done.
I'm saving up right now and hope to have some time of microphone/mixer combo in the next few months. We'll also just have to be more demanding of our guests that they have clean audio, do the interview in a quiet space and re-connect the call if there's even a hint of lower call quality.
