To be honest I don't expect them to get it done this year; however, over the next few years I see them being the best team in basketball.

When the locker room first opened to reporters after the game, Stoudemire and Anthony were bantering and laughing about players on the Miami Heat crying after their loss earlier Sunday to the Chicago Bulls, with Stoudemire fingering Chris Bosh as the watery-eyed one (although Bosh, when asked by reporters in Miami whether he had cried, said he almost had but did not).

"I heard Chris Bosh was crying tears," Stoudemire said.

"Tears?" Anthony asked.

"Yeah, tears," Stoudemire replied.

"Wait 'til I call him, man," Anthony said. "I'll be like: 'What are you doing?'"

My best guesses for the cries are definitely Mike Miller and probably LeBron.

I doubt Bosh really was, he didn't play a big part in them losing.

The Knicks will only improve if they get Chris Paul or Deron Williams to replace Billups when it gets old. Anthony and Stoudemire aren't the type of players who are going to lead the Knicks beyond 55 wins and maybe a conference finals loss or two. Also, D'Antoni's system isn't going to lead to much beyond scoring a bunch of points (see 2003-2008 Suns). The Bulls will improve as long as they keep the coach and their bigs can stay healthy; however, they're going to need another perimeter scorer (or Deng will have to remain consistent). The Nets will only improve if they can get Dwight Howard or a few more big time FA's and even if that happened it would take them a few years to gel and but that time Miami would already be 3-4 years into it. Orlando is going to eventually lose Dwight Howard and when that happens they're going to decline. LOL at mentioning Atlanta. I don't think people realize that as bad as Miami has played they're still 3rd in the East and if they won a championship this year no one would be surprised.

LOL, at you saying LeBron doesn't have a good playoff record....what have you been watching over the past few years? Those Cavs teams were never beat by a team that wasn't better than them (regular season record doesn't mean a team is better). I'm sure you'll bring up game 5 against the Celtics, but lets not forget about what he did that entire series...including game 6. James' playoff numbers are actually historic.

I thought that Miami would be fun to watch this year, with all of that big name talent and all of those good bench guys who took less money. But they aren't. They aren't even fun to hate, like it was when I rooted against the Jordan Bulls. Miami just feels...sleazy. ithey aren't fun to hate at all. Its a weird dynamic.

Because it's the exact opposite of all the arrogance we saw from this team before the season started.

They went from

"It's gonna be easy we can even put Riley at PG!" "We're gonna win 7 championships"

and the media running wild with 70 game win predictions...to weeping in the locker room after regular season losses.

They're school bully status right now. Beating up on the little guys, then when one of the better teams come thru they get punched back and start wimpering. For anyone who dislikes this team it's entertaining.

Anytime you talk all big like that then it backfires people are going to come down on you, and yes they are still more than capable of winning it all this year...but there's no way before the season started this is what they envisioned.

LOL at saying the Hawks would improve. We have maxed out our cap space and have dirt cheap owners who are scared to go over the luxury tax. There's no way we can improve without trading one of our core, and the only one who is tradeable is Josh Smith.

Atlanta has the third-highest future payroll committed, yet only dresses 13 guys (league allows you to dress 15). It's a sad state of affairs. We're locked in to be the 4th or 5th best team in the conference, at best, for the next five years.

The Magic are limited too, hence their panic trade two months ago which so far has given them mixed results. LOL at even including the Nets, that's hilarious. They are four years away, at best, from a full rebuild. (Hell, their new arena still has two years of construction left on it, let alone the team.)

The Heat will always be better than Atlanta and Orlando (not necessarily a great achievement), and once they add decent role players, they'll actually be an elite team and live up to the hype. But for now they're a colossal joke.

But until that day comes everyone will be laughing, and every misstep is going to scrutinized and nitpicked to death. So Spoelstra outing them for crying in the locker room isn't a good look. He should know they're going to get ripped and clowned for it whether it's fair or not.

They don't have the arrogance or confidence of a team that you'd love to hate. They are almost in a way... pathetic. They carry themselves as a very insecure team, led by 2 out of the 3 being insecure. They have just a god awful bench of nobodies and has-beens.

I see what you mean. Going in I was ready for them to be public enemy #1 and while I do love watching them lose and rooting against them, they absolutely don't feel like that "love to hate" team, just a team I don't like.
