LOL at OOBLes of noodles thanking this post, as if Miami has earned the right to coast through the regular season like Boston or LA. I'm not saying they are coasting, but to say they've already reached the "ah, they'll be all right come the playoffs" level like the other teams mentioned is a bit premature.

I didn't know coasting through the regular season is an award?

They have 3 all-stars. They will be no worse than 3rd in the East. They will have to beat Chicago or Boston to get to the Finals. How they perform in the Regular Season doesn't change any of those facts.

No, they don't, not as this new team... but they all have playoff experience and know what it takes to win, they have a former finals MVP and Lebron, they know they can "coast" through the regular season and use it to gauge the other teams, there are no MUST win regular season games really for this team, they don't care what happens they didn't come together to break regular season records they came together for the playoffs.

Actually... they will be just fine. There is one GLARING thing that nobody is allowing themselves to realize, and somehow you will end up disappointed when the playoffs start. Playoff basketball is MUCH more tightly officiated, Wade and Lebron will be on the line all night every night in the playoffs, they both know that, Spoel knows that, you should know that. And if Udonis Haslem can somehow get back from that injury in good shape believe it or not he's a pretty big difference maker. He does the dirty work that Bosh will often times refuse to do. Haslem was a big piece in the '06 finals, along with Wade getting fouled non-stop, that is playoff basketball, like it or not.

Yeah that was a pretty dam brutal series, I was at game 5. when two teams are such rivals the refs do tend to let them play until it gets real excessive. The main point was that Wade and LeBron spend most of the playoffs every year at the foul line lol

funny how bad games always stand out, Bosh has had multiple nights where he was gone 9/10 etc too tho... I agree he is soft but his scoring usually isn't a huge problem

In fairness to James though MJ didn't play in the same world James plays in. If MJ was a FA now I'm sure the media would blow the story up. Its not as if James and later on Carmello Anthony were on TV every day. The issue isn't how James or Melo handle it, but instead the fact that the media has changed to the point where every outlet is constantly trying to break the latest headline, so they constantly report on it. Eventually this coverage causes fans to grow sour.

As I've said I've never had an issue with James going on TV to announce his decision, because this is simply the world we live in. People complain about the show, but it got really high ratings....much like any reality show. Sports has grown to the point where athletes are no longer just athletes but entertainers. No one says anything when highschool athletes go on TV to announce their college choice.

2009 Cavs: 21 losses.
2010 Heat: 18 losses (and counting)

Hilarious how Heat are gonna fish worse than those Cavs teams when before the season all we heard about was how dominant they'd be, and how 70 wins was a possibility.

Dudes need to get their heads out of their asses. They flounder against top teams and look absolutely lost in late game situations. Like I mentioned earlier in this thread, the whole "oh but it's only year 1" excuse won't fly either cause other teams (prime example being Boston) had success right off the bat.

I really feel that adding Bosh as the third piece is what the downfall will be. He shies away from the biggest moment, something that it was easy to avoid while playing to T.O. Should of used his money to try add some depth
