Heat had that game in their pocket in regulation, the Hawks just stole it back. Same for OT, Hawks were not missing in the extra frame.. they were going back and forth, the Hawks just got the crucial blow. I dont think its really Spoelstra's fault that LeBron or even Chalmers didnt try to drive there, thats on the players.

Do you hate the fact that he went to Miami? The key word in free agents is "free," they are allowed to choose any team they want to play for as long as that team makes them a contract offer. LeBron signed his extension just as quietly during his 4th season. Let's see what Durant does in 5 years if Oklahoma City hasn't won a championship yet.

LeBron made the entire ordeal bigger than himself. He doesn't care about this team mates in Miami anymore than he did in Cleveland and he showed that. He is the definition of a selfish athlete. You think he really cares who his next to him on that court? No, he just wants to win titles however he can. He made a promise to the city of Cleveland to bring them a championship and that he wouldn't stop until he did it. Then 3 months later, when he realized how hard it might be, he quit.

He can win 5 or 6 titles in Miami, but at the end of the day, at least to me, he'll always be a guy who gave up when the going got tough.
 
The team in Cleveland was EXTREMELY tight.. I dont think its fair to say "he doesnt care about those players" based on The Decision, they're not really relevant to each other. There wasnt a tighter unit in the league in the Cavs, thats why they got the most out of lesser talent along side LeBron.

maybe this has been said in this thread already but i just noticed on ESPN.com that they have a "Heat Index" in the NBA section. if thats not over-hyping the situation i dont know what is.

really only applies to teams that have already proven themselves to be able to make it through the playoffs and to the championship as they already had statement years.

the heat have no previous seasons to look at and so all these games are previews of how they will play in the playoffs, especially when it comes to their possible opponents in the eastern playoffs
