I still fail to see your point. The cap limit is still the cap limit. They still need to cut or restructure people. Being $16 million over the cap still means you need to cut a significant player, or multiple players, plus restructure many deals. $16mil is nearly 15% of the whole teams allowed cap. The new CBA does not have some special new language that allows certain people or contractual items to not count against the cap, nor is there a new rule for getting rid of what you owe.I guess none. But people seem to think that the cap numbers post-lockout are set in stone and crippling to an organization if they're anywhere near the max.
