that is true but anything to keep Manning out of Titans hand is viable. I don't think they are going to sign him but to take an hour or two just to gauge his interest isn't going to make Schaub cry. The local radio show is stating a Denver source but they do acknowledge most likely not true.

edit: doesn't name source just states they have inquired.....but Hou Chronicle's John McClain is saying they aren't true.

Something to consider, we know Peyton has no interest playing against Eli on a regular basis. Is he really willing to play against the Colts twice a year instead? That seems just as emotional.

Knew this "typical dismiss new contender for star" post was coming.

For the record, I don't care that much if we can land Peyton or not. If he's 100%, then of course I wouldn't mind him, because you don't deny getting one of the league's best if you have the opportunity. But I have confidence in Locker or Hasselbeck to get us to the playoffs next season with the right roster moves (add pass-rushing DE [Mario Williams], interior OL, maybe a WR), so if Peyton doesn't come here, I won't be heartbroken.

If anything perhaps they are raising the price to make it impossible to get Peyton and Mario. As for Mario, McClain said he heard the Bears are a dark horse but doesn't see them putting so much money on 2 DE.
