Come on man...I know youre better than this. He had more than a fair shot. He was given the job. He made 31 League starts and 7 ECC starts. But he also wasnt making the grade. I mean, do you realize how bad you must be to split time with the mighty Roy Carroll? He wasnt separating himself, they both sucked, so they bought a better player. Tim opened his mouth, and got shipped out.

LMFAO.

He single handily knocked Man Utd out of the Champions League that year. He started 32 EPL games his first season and was named the undisputed starter from the second he arrived. Please tell me how him being automatically named the starter, but him being benched for being shit is not been given a fair shot.

Next your going to tell me Jamarcus Russell was never given a fair shot.

Soccernet is reporting that Liverpool management has told Javier Mascherano that he can leave the club. So long as they get a suitable offer, he's gone.
 
I thought I'd follow QPR but them being in the Championship it might be hard to find games to watch. So I think I've decided to follow Everton. I like some of the players on the team, Cahill, Howard, Heitinga, and Baines. I've read that they are pretty big rivals with Liverpool.

Obviously he's way past his best, but we're not going to be asking him to do that. Sounds like 35k is his wage, pretty average, not that big of a deal.

To be honest, I really dislike Campbell, and hated that Arsenal gave him a chance last season, I hate his face, I hate when he talks. Just hate him, but there's no denying he was a solid 3rd choice centerback for Arsenal last season. And if he fails here, then he rides the bench and Mike Ashley spent some wasted average ages, not a bad risk.

We must have been watching different players because I saw a centerback who was way past his prime struggling for pace v most if not all strikers he faced.

And if he fails here, then he rides the bench and Mike Ashley spent some wasted average ages, not a bad risk

When did we admit to not having any money? We said "no capital outlay" and no one has any clue what that even means.

It's not my favorite signing in the world, but what are we expecting when we're a team that will be battling for relegation? A free for a backup cb...whatever.

I was actually happy with our summer until this signing [not saying it has killed it or anything]. We were bringing in young guys and not ruining anything by handing starting spots/meaningful time to older players who are past their best.

Newcastle manager Chris Hughton has been dealt a devastating blow by owner Mike Ashley just a fortnight after securing the club's return to the Barclays Premier League and warned he will have to rely on free transfers and loan deals next season.

Ashley and the club's board have issued stark financial figures for the last year and announced Hughton will not be able to spend cash to ensure Newcastle's top flight place.

Newcastle recorded an operating loss of £37.7 million for the financial year 2008-09 and are estimating a shortfall of £32.5 million for the proceeding year, while their £20 million overdraft is already committed. They have now drawn up a five-year plan to break even by the end of the 2015-16 financial year.

How legitimate is that source though? There have been conflicting reports all around, but most of them without sources and written by awful journalists in worse papers. We obviously don't have as much as the past, but I think we have enough spend on 35k a week wages. There has been a decent amount of money spent since January.

It was from the Daily Mail and I saw one in the telegraph aswell. [i've never spoke to anybody around here who thinks we have money to spend]

Campbell being signed is not my big problem... my problem is older players who are past their best getting meaningful playing time when younger guys could be taking it.

I couldn't have been more happy with our Gosling signing and even though I know very little about Perch, at least we know he is young and highly thought of by most scouts.
