Good News and Bad News for Falcons

In the same day the Falcons had good and bad news thrown their way. The good news was they were invited to face a struggling Southern Miss team in the New Orleans Bowl. The Bad news? They were snubbed of the conference championship. FAU who lost to the Falcons earlier in the year was crowned Sun Belt conference champs.
Even though, however, they both finished 6-2 in the conference standings. We will never know what the hell was going through the peoples minds when they decided this, but....on to New Orleans!​

USC and Florida were the final two teams set to play. National Championship time baby. Both were undefeated and won their conferences. Tebow came into the game already with another heisman and wanted that 3rd championship. Well he got it as the Gators chomped on the Trojans for dinner beating them 24-7​

Shola Turns down Kentucky job; Signs 4 year Extension instead​

With Kentucky going 2-10 the decision was a no brainer for the schools Athletic Director. Fire our current coach and go out and get another one. Out of the many applicants the first to notify them of a yes or no was none other than Daytona State University's Sean Shola. He answered promptly in this email.

"I would like to say that your job offer to myself is greatly appreciated. I can not accept this offer, however, but I hope you find a great coach for your program. Thanks.

Coach Sean Shola, Daytona State University"

He was offered a 4 year extension with Daytona State University and accepted immediately. He is suspecte to be scheduling a press conference some time in the next couple of weeks to discuss this. For now, though, his off season begins.

Other news for Coach Shola is his program is now a 2 star program. This should help his team move up to a bigger conference sooner and also help pull in better recruits. The sky is cloudless and sunny for this Falcon team.
