i am using tour pro and low scores. on my 1st tourney i am in 1st place. im +2 but im still winning. should the scoring be set on something other than low?

Low should have the majority of the field shooting in the mid 60s, and the leaders pulling low 60s. I'd say give it a little time, see if it's just the hard ass course.

Started playing on TOUR Pro at the UK Open (St. Andrews), son of a bitch I hate that course. Shot a 69 the first two rounds, but made it my bitch the second day with a 64 (-8). -14 overall, and I have an eight stroke lead headed into the final day.

I turned into Rory McIlroy on the final day. Shot a fucking 81 (+9) on the final day, lost by four strokes. Two double bogeys on the front nine, and a six putt and triple bogey in the final three holes. FML.

Can't wait until this season is over so I can bring the tourneys down to three days.

it was the very 1st tourney. i won it to get into the amateur tour with a +2. maybe all the other guys sucked worse than me. next tourney was in the AT and i posted a +6 but the scores were still in the even to -1 range

its playing tough...or rather inconsistent. i hit a perfect swing and the ball goes way left/right of the mark. Also seems like if i use a custom shot that the results will be very random. maybe its just cause my ratings are so low right now

Ah, well then I would chalk that up to the skill level of the competition.

I agree, I can't really get a handle on the shot mechanics either. I'm pretty sure that yellow line means dick all. It can be way left and go straight, or be perfectly straight and I'll hook it right into the woods. I have found that using focus helps tremendously though.

took 2 tourneys to get thru the AM Tour. just played my 1st nationwide tour and moved the scoring down to very low. I finished tied for 2nd at -5....the leader was -7 in this 1 round tourney.

my guy was at 40% across the board....now he is at 43%

Won the EA Sports Championship today...was down by a stroke headed into the final day, finished four strokes in the lead (-11). I'm really enjoying playing TOUR Pro and normal scoring, the level of competition is awesome. I'm sure after a few more tourneys I'll improve my guy enough to turn the AI scoring down to low.

BTW, if anyone wants to game tonight (360) I'll be on until 6 am. Gold Rush 49er.

I've been playing on TOUR PRO with normal scoring and have found it to be near perfect. I will generally finish in the top 10 or the top 30, which is nice.

What is everyone recommendation. Turn up the difficulty or the scoring? I was on Normal I belive and switched it to low. I saw the difference in the scores in my first tournament and won by a few strokes. The next tourney I lapped the field.

Well I would definitely suggest going to Tour Pro once you get your golfer pretty skilled.

My putter is killing me ... so are the changing wind conditions every round.
One round I'll shoot a 70, feel proud of myself, blah, blah, blah, blah ... then follow it up with a flurry of three or four putts, idiotic decisions to use my driver and end up with a 78-80.
I have never been so inconsistent with Tiger.
BTW, the DLC courses have much faster hole loading times than disc based ones on the ps3.
Blackwolf Creek is a bitch of a course.
I'm into my 5th PGA tourney ... and have failed to make the cut in two.
Today, I finished the 70 and 78 at Blackwolf Creek and somehow made the cut at +4.

where is the setting to set how many rounds u can play in each tourney? i started RTTM and I only see the challenge, training and round 1. not that i want to play four rounds but I would like the option to do 2 and maybe 4 for the majors.

On the Nationwide Tour, you only play 1 round in this game.
Once you reach the PGA Tour, you play 4 (but before you start the tour, you can switch it to whatever you like).

Indeed...just keep in mind that you can only change that setting at the beginning of each year, so if you choose four, you're stuck with that for the whole season.
