I'm a fan of realistic scoring as well, but you could also just adjust the AI difficulty to match you're playing on TOUR Pro.
I played Tournament with the hardest conditions at Augusta last night, and shot a +4. A little too hard for me.

The putting in this game is driving me insane (I suspect that's a good thing).
I'm so fucking inconsistent ("bad" might be a better description).
It's insulting when the caddy says to you in the menu "You might want to consider dropping a difficulty level."

I was playing the Mediterainian Open last night and was destoying it. I had a 17 stroke lead going into SUnday so I finally changed everything. Holes were set on expert. One hole I took a 4 over from 5 putting and another hole (par 5) home in two I took my MAX and they said move on. I lost like 10 or 11 strokes in two holes. They had the pins on sick slopes that if you missed it went twenty feet past the hole and off the green.
A little glitch I came into last night, is I hit a tight shot and it did the auto replay, I started hitting buttons to get off it and my golfer actually bumped the ball with his club and it rolled to the left a bit and kinda froze, he'd address the ball but I couldnt do anything. I finally paused and when I came out it was back to normal

Gonna play rounds 3 and 4 tomorrow.
This has been my best tournament by far, shot a 68, then a 69. And missed a damn 3-foot putt because of that damn pre-shot jerky thing in the game, where the putting meter moves even though you haven't touched the stick. It can be distracting.
I'm up by 3 shots, so I'm sure I'll shoot an 80 tomorrow.
This game owns me. I fucking love it.

Shot a 61 in day three of the Tour championship...then bombed with a 72 on the final day. Finished near the bottom, and lost out to O'Hair for the FedEx Cup.

Currently playing on TOUR Pro with the green grid turned off, and I've been dominating lately...shot a 57 on ELGC, including 12 straight birdies to earn me that pin. Played the first round of the masters, shot -7, three strokes in the lead. Guess it's time to tune the AI scoring from low to very low. We'll see how it goes.

Very low is where it's at! Played the second round of the Masters with those settings last night, and ended up winning my first green jacket. Just finished The Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass, TOUR Pro difficulty with green grid off, and very low AI scoring. Shot a 59 (-13) the first day, trailed Tiger by a stroke for the lead. Shot a 61 (-11) to finish off the tournament while Tiger had a 63, giving me a one-stroke win for the title. BOOM.
So after some solid time playing with this game, here's my wishlist for next year:
Outfit Creator: I'd like the ability to set up five outfits for quick changes. Hat, shirt, pants, and accessories. Would be much easier than going through the myriad selections in the Pro shop.
Trophy Room: The Masters trophy room is fuckin weak sauce. I want to see all of my trophies from every victory, as well as easily accessible career stats and career history (such as where I finished in a particular tourney each year). I would also like to see player awards make their way into the game. Player of the Year, Rookie of the Year, Byron Nelson award (player with best scoring average w/ a min. 50 rounds played [rounds played could be adjusted lower for the game]), Arnold Palmer award (awarded to the biggest money-maker), etc.
Money for Pro Shop: I'm pretty sure in past years you earned money based on your finish from each tourney...I'd like to see this brought back. Pro shop items could be unlocked just as they are now, or purchased with tourney winnings (I'm ok with some items being achievement-only).
Sponsorships: Another potential cash cow could be getting actual sponsorships. Played would be paid money for wearing sponsor's clothing and using their clubs/balls/shafts, etc. Players could also earn commercial deals in their career to earn more bucks.
Award Presentations: I was severely disappointed winning the Masters...c'mon EA, I want to see my guy get the green jacket put on by last year's champ. I want award ceremonies after all of the majors at least, if not the small ones as well.
Course-specific Objectives: Medalling up to make your caddie better at a course is fun, but it's too cookie-cutter right now. I'd like to see course-specific objectives to get new medals. For example, get a hole in one at TPC Sawgrass on hole 17 as a gold medal objective. Avoid every bunker at St. Andrews for a bronze, stuff like that.
Improved course intros and flybys: The commentators suck with their course introductions. Give me some actual history, announce that this is day three of the Masters, and I want more in-depth flybys on each hole so they can actually help me make decisions.
Playoff Holes: ADD THIS TO THE GAME IMMEDIATELY. A tourney should NEVER end in a tie, with you (or anyone) being awarded a cheap win.

Improved course intros and flybys: The commentators suck with their course introductions. Give me some actual history, announce that this is day three of the Masters, and I want more in-depth flybys on each hole so they can actually help me make decisions.
Playoff Holes: ADD THIS TO THE GAME IMMEDIATELY. A tourney should NEVER end in a tie, with you (or anyone) being awarded a cheap win.
