To some of you that isn't a great year for a QB. But for a QB that lacked a running game this year and a QB that wasn't expected to do much with our receiving core I think thats pretty good.

Looks like fringe top ten to me. I'd put him at 10 I guess, but not much higher than that.

Keith Null - I'm not sure who the fuck this guy is, or where he came from, but if Cincinnati were to cut Crapson Palmer, and we signed him, I'd consider it a downgrade.

What is it you like so much about Rodgers? Was it the 2 yards per game he averaged over Brady? The worse completion percentage? The six fewer interceptions? The two additional touchdowns? or the 44 more sacks?

Just wondering what you saw in one season of Rodgers that eliminates Tom Brady's body of work? Coming off of injury, he had a solid season by his standards, and he still must be considered among the elite until proven otherwise.

Not just one season. Both seasons. Quick release, very accurate, knows where to place the football. Hell of an arm. Not a turnover machine, but not afraid to throw down field. He throws better than Brady, no doubt. Took a lot of sacks though. However, once Peyton leaves, Aaron Rodgers will be who I'm proclaiming as the best quarterback in football. In the past two seasons, he's had a TD/INT ratio of 58:20. He does a great job with Jennings, Driver, Finley, Jones, and Havner. He's #2 in my mind.

New England was 3rd in passing yards, and Tom Brady's stats certainly aren't giving me the impression he's on a major decline, if any at all. I still have him at #2, which might be too high, but 7th? I'm just not seeing that. He was also 5th in passing yards, and 6th in passing TDs.

7th may be a bit rough, but I need to see Brady become what everyone says he is yet again in order to place him back up there. You know where the Patriots' offense is going come from and defenses have found ways to stop it. Honestly, I just don't see the "immortalness" in Tom Brady in more. He's not even Top Five to me anymore... he looks Top 10 to me. Sure, when there are clear disadvantages, he'll kill you, but he hasn't played at elite status. He looked horrible against New Orleans, looked average @Buffalo, had troubles against Miami, looked average against Denver, looked a mess against Baltimore... sure, he came off an injury, but he's got to prove to me he can be elite against everyone, not just depleted secondaries.

YPG for passing is a pretty retarded stat. Don't you think that that 9th ranked rushing attack and 6th ranked defense took a little pressure off of Palmer so he didn't have to air it out 40 times a game. Ever considered that they were 27th in passing attempts?

No doubt he was driving that bus last year with that shitty receiving core and no TE to speak of. But I'd be hard pressed to put him in the bottom half of starting QB's b/c of 1 bad year. I think people are forgetting 2005/06/07 very easily when the guy actually had weapons.

How's it retarded? Pass for more yards and you have a higher YPG. I mean we could look at TDs in which Palmer is 15th... joint with passing juggernauts like Kyle Orton and behind the Joe Flacco's and Matt Ryan's of this world. And yes that rushing and defense took some pressure of Palmer ... and with that pressure taken away he STILL managed to have a pretty average year.

Also, I'm not saying he's in the bottom half of QB's. He's just not near my top 10. I think 12-16 is a wonderful place to put Palmer

I know a lot of you will compare this to the Drew Brees situation, but it's not.. I've always consider Brees a good QB, a top 10 QB, whose ability to win big games was questionable - It's not anymore.

I actually think Palmer sucks. I've questioned his ability to start in the NFL, since his college days. I'd probably find a place for him in the top 15, but I'd have to give it some serious thought. I wouldn't want the guy on the Rams, if Cincinnati offered to trade him straight up for Marc Bulger.

He had both, yet Marvin Lewis can't depend on the guy to throw the ball 30 times per game, because he'll give you shit like 9 TDs, and 7 Interceptions. Is that a franchise QB? Not to me it isn't. There's a reason they didn't throw the ball - Marvin Lewis has finally lost confidence in the guy.

He threw the ball 36 times against the Jets, and a whopping 146 yards... And Benson had 169 yards rushing... Is that even possible? Carson Palmer is garbage.

I guess everyone has there own opinions then. If it was the "who were the top ten QBs of last year" then I somewhat agree with you on Brady's placement. But in MY opinion I think he will return to where he was pre injury.

BTW at the beginning of last season(2008) when Manning had surgery and started off below average did you bump him from your top 5? Because he sure didn't look like a top 5 QB to me at the time.

If you throw the ball 30+ times a game your going to have a higher YPC. If you are playing from behind your going to have a higher YPC. I wouldn't say that's the greatest indicator of QB success.

If you read my initial post I'd have Palmer as #15 going into 2010. My thought was I just don't see mcnabb as that much greater than Palmer in 2010.

I guess that's true ... I would also say 15 is fair enough for Palmer

I still think Mcnabb even at this stage in his career is better than Palmer

Then you should see where people are coming from if they are giving Brady the benefit of the doubt for coming of an injury just like I most Colts/Manning supporters were probably giving Manning the benefit of the doubt at the beginning of last season.
