this is kinda a crock of bullshit, i got rid of my first PS3 cuz i bought into dumb shit like this, got a 360 elite...then bought another PS3 and actually threw the 360 out my car window while drunk on 95 (I was mad Gamestop wanted to ass-rape me on the trade in value)

either way...want one reason why PS3 is better?

How about another...Blu-Ray...plain and simple the value of a PS3 alone is worth it because of Blu Ray...even if you wanted the mega-fail HD-DVD concept from Microsoft you had to pay an extra $100+ for an external drive for it...which would bring the total cost to the same price as the PS3...cept the PS3's High Definition DVD option didnt fail after a year of production.

That is not getting enough love. So because you were pissed that Gamestop was going to screw you over you decided to say "I will show them, I will throw my 360 out of my car window and get nothing for it. That will teach them."

imo 360 is better because more of my friends play on the 360. Screw playing video games alone, it just gets boring after a while

Sorry to break it to you guys but those 10 reasons are valid. Holiday bundles , special editions , etc do not count as additional SKUS. MS has maintained 2-3 primary consoles at same price range for there entire run. Sony has changed there prices and primary consoles PLUS removing features ((B.C)) back and forth. No comparison quit kidding yourself.

LBP ? MGS4 ? Motorstorm ? You guys have to be kidding yourselves. This entire generation has been dominated by multiplayer. Whether its party games on the Wii or XBL play on 360.
Great singleplayer will only get you so far. When someone mentions killer app they mean Halo,Rockband,Gears of War , GTA ,even Wii sports/fit.
People continue to play those game months/years after launch and spend money on add ons /maps etc.

360 exclusives + Better ports +superior online setup= Better library selection.

Yeah PS3 has some fantastic games and some "on the horizon" but how many times do we have to hear a Sony fanboy say "look at whats coming" they ve been saying that shit for years and a year after MGS and with KZ2 here people still dont care about PS3. Why is that so difficult to admit ?

You can use the RROD as an knock against MS or call Wii a niche system.....but what does it say about Sonys console that people would rather risk there console exploding on them or play 16 bit boxing than purchase a PS3 ??

I can honestly say I've used my Blu Ray player once, just to see the quality of it. Why pay $2 more to rent or $10-$15 more to buy a movie when the quality isn't even that much better? It's just a waste in my opinion.

Thank you. The standard DVD's on my 360 really don't look that much different from the Blu-Ray movies my brother has on his PS3. It's better, but not $10+ better, no fucking way.

Simple fact is XBOX360 hit the market sooner than PS3. It made Sony rush their console to the market sooner than they wanted and even by then XBOX had the NEXTGEN market. So the XBOX came out earlier and can hit its price drops sooner than SONY, which then allows people to go OMG XBOX is cheaper... well it should be because its older. MS dropped their original XBOX in a really short console cycle to hit out before SONY. really an XBOX is like a gaming PC.... while the PS is a grown ups ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM.

Xbox 360s are made of garbage.I've had mine 3 days and have already had to return a game because it wouldn't stop freezing, and had to deal with the RROD multiple times.

PS3 costs too much and not really worth it if you're a casual gamer. Who gives a fk about blu-ray, watching DVDs is not that serious. As someone who doesn't care that much about videogames I see 0 reason to drop the extra cash on a PS3.

My 50 year old female professors play the Wii.

Very funny thing, I have my 360, and I love the party feature and a few games. I have my PS3, and love the blu ray and most of the games, yet ALL I want is the Wii to play that Madworld game. Looks so fucking sweet. I might get a Wii.

The reason that the PS3 is failing is that they refuse to invest in blockbuster developers and games that would bring them gamers in the future. I don't know why they don't put forth the financial pressure of trying to get exclusive deals in place with Square Enix for the titles of Kingdoms Hearts 3 and a Final Fantasy 7 remake. Get some press shakers, a reason for gamers to be proud to own the PS3. Then they can go fourth in a press conference and announce these huge deals.

Back in the day of the PS2, Playstation had all of the good exclusives. Now that Sony has managed to screw up the PS3, not many developers want to give them deals. You just have to realize that everything is run by money and go to these guys saying that our console sucks because our base of games sucks, but we want to change that with the help of you, and all the money we're gonna give you.

This is misleading.. games nowadays cost a lot of $ to make. Third party developers just cannot afford to make a game for one console with the money that would be lost for developing one system. Of course there will be a few exclusives here and there from 1st party studios but anything 3rd party u can forget about it.

I'm not going to say one console is better than the other, but I remember the big reason I bought a PS2 was because... well... it was first. Like it or not, being first does wonders. Look at the Genesis vs SNES or PSX vs N64. Being first does, big things, the biggest of which is that developers start making games for you and porting them to the other console.

As for BluRay, it's overrated. Not because it isn't good quality, it is great quality, but I can get just as good of quality torrents and stream them to my 360 and play them on my HDTV just as easily. I could probably do it with a PS3, but I'm not about to buy one to find out.

The one thing PS3 has really going for it is MLB: The Show. Sadly, I am not a baseball fan, or I might pick up the console just for that. I do play NCAA a ton and since it has been arguably better on 360 in terms of gameplay (2008) or overall online play (2009), I don't see myself changing over any time soon.
