Sorry to break it to you guys but those 10 reasons are valid. Holiday bundles , special editions , etc do not count as additional SKUS. MS has maintained 2-3 primary consoles at same price range for there entire run. Sony has changed there prices and primary consoles PLUS removing features ((B.C)) back and forth. No comparison quit kidding yourself.

LBP ? MGS4 ? Motorstorm ? You guys have to be kidding yourselves. This entire generation has been dominated by multiplayer. Whether its party games on the Wii or XBL play on 360.
Great singleplayer will only get you so far. When someone mentions killer app they mean Halo,Rockband,Gears of War , GTA ,even Wii sports/fit.
People continue to play those game months/years after launch and spend money on add ons /maps etc.

360 exclusives + Better ports +superior online setup= Better library selection.

Yeah PS3 has some fantastic games and some "on the horizon" but how many times do we have to hear a Sony fanboy say "look at whats coming" they ve been saying that shit for years and a year after MGS and with KZ2 here people still dont care about PS3. Why is that so difficult to admit ?

You can use the RROD as an knock against MS or call Wii a niche system.....but what does it say about Sonys console that people would rather risk there console exploding on them or play 16 bit boxing than purchase a PS3 ??

The 360 SKU's are misleading also. How many different types of the ARcade have their been? How many people still have 360 without HDMI?

If you're standing on your soapbox saying that the 360 and Wii are OWNING this generation because of multiplayer than why would you bring up LBP, MGS4 and MotorStorm. All of those games have multiplayer. LBP's four-player co-op is amazing. MGS4 has MG ONline and MotorStorm of course has online racing. And don't forget Reisistance @ with it's EIGHT player co-op and SIXTY player versus modes. Or Killzone 2 with it's 32 player online.

The fact of the matter is that MS beat Sony to the punch and it was an ingenious marketing strategy. Because of this their install base is enormous at this point. 360 games will always outsell PS3 games because of this simple fact. It has little or nothing to do with multiplayer aspects. Both consoles have amazing games but at least twice as many people own 360's as PS3's.

You do the math.

And the Wii is destroying both for the reasons stated by others. It's a casual console and it's the cheapest of all three. Plus the power of the Nintendo fanboy can never be underestimated.

I bought a 360 because it came out first and I LOVED it! That is, until it blessed me with three of these beauties....

After that, I just decided to hold onto my PS3 and get rid of my 360. It was fun while it lasted. Just didn't last long enough...on any of the 3.

Little Big Planet is a fucking kids game that could run on a PS1. Motorstorm is nothing special, plenty of good racing games cross platform. Killzone 2 and Resistance even with that many people, still does not beat Halo or GOW2, hell even COD is easier to play on the 360 with the party system and a better controller for shooters. I'm not saying they look better but they are just better overall games online.

LittleBigPlanet isnt a kids game. Most people who own it are over 21. Motorstorm is crap to me so idc about that, but GOW2 sucks ass. I had so much hype for that game and I was so dissappointed. Gers 1 was way better online. Resistance and Killzone 2 are just as great as halo 3. I own all these games and I will say I play Halo and gears the least online. My favorite shooting game is Socom, so im biased in sayign PS3 has the best shooting multiplayer game ever.

I will say thoguh I do enjoy COD on 360 because of that party system.

I dont know a single person who plays MGS4 online. Comparing LBP/MGS/Motorstorm MP to those other games is nuts.

Even if the game was up to snuff in that aspect ((which they arent)) the online setup of the 360 and the gitchy party setup of Wii games obliterated everything PS3 had/has to offer.

XBOX 360 didnt have any killer apps until GOW1 which was released Same time as PS3. Blame Sony for not having a single title worth playing knowing damn well MS had a year lead. THATS why shitty programming tools are so important.

A system that was insanely priced with ZERO games worth playing , a second rate online setup , and absolutely NO appeal to the casual gamer is what that lists amounts to.

Listen I know everyone has a game preference.. but I cant with a straight face recommend someone spend that much money on a ps3. Do I have to tell them about Home and Gran Turismo and why 2018 will be the year there investment pays off ?

Being in a terrible economy sure as hell isnt going to help there buy now pray for later philosophy.

Do Zelda: Twilight Princess and Super Mario Galaxy not count? Twilight Princess was out at release. Super Mario Galaxy was released just a few days before the Wii's 1-year anniversary.

Some developers (Steam for example) don't even want to port their games from the 360 to the PS3.

Being nitpicky but I'm guessing you mean Valve. Steam is just one of their apps/clients. Unless we are talking about 2 entirely separate companies.

LBP is an exclusive killer app according to this site LOL. Game is fun, but shouldn't be mentioned when talking about the consoles "big" games. If it is then you're probably talking about the ps3 and all 5 of it's must own games LOL.

I'm waiting on GT5, and I love how none of the ps3 fanboys haven't mentioned it once. GT5 prologue is a must own game, and it solidifies using gt5 in these type of arguments because it displays what the finished product will be, and that is one of if not the best looking next gen game ever.

I think its a goofy looking kiddie style wii game, it appeals to nontraditional gamers. But according to about every major gaming website and mag yes it is a killer app.
