Mir got lucky in the first fight, Brock was man handling him till he just stupidly gave him his leg. Mir is great but I think Brock will fight much smarter this time around and end up pummeling Mir's face in. Mir really didn't do anything impressive in the first fight at all, Brock basically gave him his leg.

This isn't another "dave" joke, but you arent the target demo. They are chasing (and winning) the 18-35 males...the older gen grew up with boxing, dosen't "get" MMA, and will die as boxing guys.

Boxing draws the oldest demo of any televised sport. They do nothing to create new stars or attract young fans. That's why boxing is dying, it has nothing to do with MMA. Both can easily co-exist.

But I digress. You aren't the demo. UFC might have done 1.5 million buys tonight without you. Think about that.

The sudden meteoric rise of "UFC Lovers" from the d.bag frat fratty types attest to this statement. I mean really, when there's a UFC PPV go to your local sports bar or somewhere that the fight is being shown and you will witness how this has almost become a 'fad/trend'. It is considered cool to be interested in UFC, and a lot of people go to watch the PPV's....granted, they may not even understand wtf is going on either but its been slowly becoming a phenomenon in the college-age arena.

I thought sexyama won. Despite his face never thought he was in trouble. Despite height disadvantage was consistenly beating Belcher to the punch. Only bad shots he took were in the 3rd but he stole the 3rd with the takedown.

AGAIN....MMA needs half points , and to stop weighing takedowns so heavily. I knew the second he took him down it would swing the round in his favor.

LMAO x a million at Bisping getting KOd. How sweet was that. Im sorry but theres few times in life where you have victory/revenge/and being the good guy ALL on your side. That moment with Hendo in the air has to be one of the sweetest moments in MMA history. Not saying greatest anything...but just a sweet sweet moment from an athletes perfection . GSP no2 behind Fedor. Ridiculously dominant. I know how much pedigree is out there but I cant name anyone out there that can dictate where the fight takes place better than GSP. His wrestling is insane.


Brock Lesnar is a fucking albino Gorilla. I wasnt sure his trainers "smother Mir and not give him space" would work since Mir is really good at squeaking around for a big guy. But holy jesus what school yard bully tactic to perfection. Who the hell is going to guess Lesnar by headlock noogie pounding as method of victory ?
The way he had Mirs head tangled in the first round was tantamount to a one armed full nelson. WTF ?
How much of a beast do you have to be to tangle up a Jiu Jitsu expert on something like that ?.



Lastly UFC 100. Ill be damned If 15 whatever years ago watching some PPV version of van dammes bloodsport if I thought this sport would be so big. I love MMA and those UFC and Gracie justified my love for Martial Arts as a kid. My brother who I had only met a few times but always heard from my father was a Jiu Jitsu black belt..wasnt till UFC 1 that I had any iota of what the hell that meant. And it gave justification to my dads wild claims that "your brother would choke out Mike Tyson in a street fight".=-).

UFC 100 ---- an all time KO....highlighting a truly dominant complete MMA fighter.....while still showing that theres plenty of room for a freak....so long as they have some grade A talent to go with it.
The shit really has come along way. Im glad I stuck around back then to watch it grow into what it is today.

Brock Lesnar UFC 91 Weigh-InWin or lose in his UFC 100 main event bout against interim title-holder Frank Mir, UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar is guaranteed to be one of the top earners at the pay-per-view event, receiving $400,000 to show for the headlining heavyweight unification rematch.

The main event salaries were disclosed on Saturday by Yahoo! Sports’ Kevin Iole via Twitter.

Mir would make $90,000 ($45,000 to show, $45,000 to win) should he defeat Lesnar for the second-straight time.

UFC welterweight champ Georges St-Pierre could tie Lesnar atop the event’s official payroll with a win over challenger Thiago Alves, as he’s slated to make $200,000 to show and an additional $200,000 to win the co-headliner.

The official salaries for Lesnar-Mir, GSP-Alves, and Dan Henderson vs. Michael Bisping are:

* Brock Lesnar ($400,000 to show) vs. Frank Mir ($45,000 to show, $45,000 to win)
* Georges St-Pierre ($200,000 to show, $200,000 to win) vs. Thiago Alves ($60,000 to show, $60,000 to win)
* Michael Bisping ($150,000 to show, $100,000 to win) vs. Dan Henderson ($100,000 to show, $150,000 to win)

In related news, UFC President Dana White has announced that the “Fight Night” bonuses for UFC 100 will be a record $100,000 apiece.

That blood is from the prelims fight; which the UFC doesn't air on tv - unless the event ends way ahead of time. lol

The UFC usually has like 10 fights scheduled per event - we only get to see about 5; 6 if we're lucky.

I really believe Dana has his back against the wall on this one, Who is he going to throw at Lesnar now? Cain Velazquez? - personally I don't think he's ready.

This would be a HUGE draw if he gets Fedor to fight inside the Octagon. It'll all be some USA v Russia shit; which undoubtedly will sell a shitload of tickets/ppv's - Which is a win for Zuffa.

Now the only "bad" thing about the whole deal is, Fedor will hold that HW division hostage & I believe Dana wouldn't like that very much.

That's the problem with heavyweight divisions in most contact sports these days (I'm honestly not going to look up anything beyond MMA, American Pro-Wrestling and Boxing so if anyone has more examples, more power to you...):

There's no real competition beyond 3-or-4 guys.

You get a guy who looks great as the champ to a general audience (a Cena, a Lesnar, etc.) with his company feeding him decent opponents to straight-up nobodies, all the while say "what a great champ he is."

In pro-wrestling, there's always the thing about going by the script so they never can build anyone past a certain point and allow them to break out because they're either too green (a Bobby Lashley) or have been beaten so many times that them winning the belt isn't believable (a 'Kane' or a 'Big Show').

In MMA, there's always that chance for a Flash K.O. or a freak/planned Submission but beyond that, it comes down to (as said before) out-sizing your opponent, outmanuvering them or a combo of both.

In Lesnar's case, he's lucky that he can train and study for his opponent for an upcoming PPV but beyond that, he's either going to be continually protected beyond a few name fights or he'll have no one to fight... IMO.

Sidenizzle: If there's a Mir/Lesnar III, Brock "The Cock" is gonna rape him again to the tune of a few more buys.
