[PS3] Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception

Just started playing this last night. Would have been done with the first mission based co-op a whole lot sooner if my partner would have listened instead of running around like a fucking idiot. Was fun though.

Ok, I can not find that video that someone posted (Stevsta maybe) of the alleged input lag in the game. I don't know if it's complete bullshit or that person just has lag with their tv because I just tested it myself and there is no input lag with aiming and my gun fires as soon as I press the button.

Play on Hardcore online (just guns, no perks).

The skill argument only applies when you're playing against those who ONLY play UC MP and/or are really good at shooters.

I can't just say "get better" because you either have the reflexes or you don't to have said skill so...

I'd say enjoy what you can out it while you can before UC4 hits in a few years.

I'm pretty good at the game and hardcore is what I play most of the time, but it gets boring quickly and its nice to play some Loot or territories, but its almost impossible to get a game without a 50+ fuck having an m9 with rapid fire and the creepy crawler perk spitting fire against the team.

naughty dogs experiment with more guns unlocking at the start has failed. What made UC2 multiplayer so fresh were the maps, climbing, and treasure mode, and most importantly the balance between each weapon start in the game (fal was a bit too good at med range, but hard to master at close range ) and the opportunity to get better guns scattered all through the map

all they needed to fix was the lag and adding more game types

Don't get me wrong I don't think the multiplayer is horrible, It's still pretty fun, but its not as great as the UC2 multiplayer was. Now if naughty dog added a playlist where you just start off with either an ak or a fal equivalent then I would probably start liking the multiplayer a bit more

And even know multiplayer is hosed, I would still love to get a a full room of VSN'ers. Bomber, Blade, Jay, Stevsta, Stealth, Seth, Wings, Handle It (who needs to put his PSN name in his sidebar profile!), me, etc.

Finished the game last night after the Eagles fiasco.

I am not going to use the spoiler tags, since I am the last guy on VSD to finish SP.

1) Overall the story was entirely way too basic, almost as thin as the first UC
2) The ending was underwhelming compared to UC2
3) I thought Cutter and Drake had an awesome chemistry together, too bad they didn't have them in the game together more.
4) Speaking of, anyone else find Sully to be really boring this time around?
5) The visuals as always were awesome, I think the one thing that was missing was that UC2 had more instances of being awestruck by what you saw than in this movie. (I just realized I called this game a movie, a testament to Naughty Dog's efforts)
6) Puzzles were awesomely challenging, but feels like they focused way too much time on them.

I don't know how many treasures I picked up, I did get some kind of treasure hunter award, probably the first level hunter award.

I will play through it again at some point, maybe even jump on the MP after I am done with MW3. I feel like the story mode maybe something I have to play twice to really enjoy it.

One other thing that dissapointed me, I didn't feel like I had any hand in destroying the city. Drake dives into the water and shoots the brass pot, woulda been nice if they had a sequence there that you had to hit a button or aim and shoot the freaking pot.

Plus what kind of weapon was Drake using there? I have no idea what that thing was.

I honestly don't remember what the gun looked like but I'll take a closer look when I finish it for the second time. I'm up to Chapter 13 and have 98 treasures.

I thought the part where you're racing for your life on all those crumbling platforms was amazing.

At the rate I play video games, I won't have time to finish this sucker for a few months, hopefully during christmas break. I just don't have the time to knock out games anymore.

I've probably spent a whopping two hours so far. One of them was last night playing Co-Op Arena I think it was called. Had alot of fun with that playing with friends. Game seems to offer alot, single player, co op and multiplayer.

Having a problem with the CPU controlled enemy in the Co-OP Arena mode who has the helmet and armored gear on it seems. Not many of them, but they are out there on the maps.

How in the hell do you attack them without getting killed?

I rented it earlier today and am about halfway through. Gonna finish it up tomorrow before I take it back. The story has some esoteric references. :shifty:
